I don't have any reports yetbut maybe some of you do and I thought it would be better to put it in the Olympics forum and not in the general gymnastics thread.

oh, wrong _ I found something:

Pena landed a Produnova, yay! Elsa Garcia dismounting on beam with a patterson. Yay. Sounds like Lauren Mitchell is having some difficulty on floor. Here is a video of her on floor training prior to today http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=taWxi7XSqkA

Iordache. Nothing we don't already know. She might miss the competition.
Hope this is not true about Iordache.
"Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned / Nor hell a fury like a woman scorned."
Guess I'm the only one who sees the words "podium training" and wonders why the gymnasts need to practice receiving their medals.![]()
To think that fun is simple fun, while earnest things are earnest, proves all too plain that neither one thou truthfully discernest.
In this article it says that the decision to compete or not is up to Larisa:
http://translate.google.de/translate...at-109833.html
google translate therefore the sentence is a bit weird. The decision to compete or cancel the competition for the Olympic Games will belong to Larisa, no gymnast who could have obtained at least a medal in singles, a possible lack of it will be especially felt in the team competition
This Olympics has an injury prone feel to it, sending best of luck to the girls today! I really hope McKayla can still vault like she usually does.
Sounds like Italy has some great work in store, and Vasiliki Malousi's mount of RO-layout step out into needle scale soundsworthy.

Poor Larissa... I think part of the problem of her pushing through is how much is expected of her.. THAT may be too much.
Clearly "In a minute" does not mean the same to me or Blythe.(she wrote she would provide a link to the third subdivison "in a minute" )
Is it not starting yet? When does it start? Why is there no video feed.![]()
^I believe the next group (US/GB etc.) starts at 2:45pm our time - meaning in about forty minutes.
ah, thanks.
that is not:" in a minute"

Lol. No, it is not.
Miruna posted this information about Iordache's chances to compete AA, and says Haidu is not yet being called to London.
Thank you Miruna!
Bitang has confirmed Larisa has fasciatis in her left heel and even though she's now taped up which helps balance her foot, she will not be able to compete AA, but they (Belu and Bitang) will determine if can do UB and BB in prelims to try and qualify for event finals. She also said " there's no question of doing all around any longer and our chances for a team medal in her absence on 4 events are now non-existent."

Thanks for the Iordache news.
I absolutely don't doubt the severity of the problem - but I'm not sure if I agree with Bitang that they have "0% chance for a team medal" - I wonder if she really believes that either?
