This past Winter though, I was *really* sick w/it pretty much the entire time and ever since then, even my good days aren't that great anymore. I also tire easily and for once, following the Olympics have me so exhausted, it's not funny.

The excuse they're using to not touch me though is due to my Kidney Transplant. Which is in my lower left tummy area and all the pain and everything else is upper right. I get they're terrified of "What if?", but I don't have any kind of a life, so to me it's worth the risk. They don't think so though and therefore...

And now it's turning something I love and adore following into a trial. I told my Family Doctor he's got till September to try and find me someone and then I take matters into my own hands. Which he agreed w/me about as he's just as frustrated as I am over all of this.

I'm now tasting bile when things are really bad and the Surgeon I saw in Ottawa last year told me that was normal because everyone has bile. Funny...I don't think we're supposed to be tasting it, do you?

So...Yeah. Just more than a bit frustrating.
I can understand why you are that'd be so incredibly frustrating. You're in a huge amount of pain and don't have any kind of an outside life right now which I can't imagine. I've had similar problems before but granted not to the extent you have obviously. That's so tough.

Doctor has got to try and do something. I would definitely say look to Alberta if you can. We have a lot of specialists and the University of Alberta Hospital is one of the best in the country. Because obviously the advice you are getting out there isn't right. You know your body and you know something is wrong. That's not good. You need help. I really hope you can find it.

If they showed it did they just show that or did they also show the post-bout interview and/or the medal ceremony?

AragornElessar, are you recording on just one machine or do you have multiple machines going?
i saw it this am- they did not show it in "real' time but the important aspects were there

There has been a lot of failure by sporting organizations not supporting their athletes.. Eric commenting on the horsey stuff .. Soccer Canada being a bunch of wimps.. and now this.. http://www.thestar.com/sports/london...iathlon-canada

    Good News!

I found most of what I was looking for on YouTube today I was able to find a program that lets me download it in HD. The only thing I don't have now is Oldershaw's post-race interview which I'm hopeful CTV Prime Time will air tonight, but I got the wrestling bout, Carol's post match interview, the medal ceremony and her interview with Brian Williams, Oldershaw's and Van Koeverden's Race - Van Koeverden's post race interview and his medal ceremony and Oldershaw's medal ceremony, now all I need is Oldershaw's post-race interview and I'm golden! If I get that tonight with CTV Prime Time I get everything I was missing and then I can stop freaking out

AragornElessar do you remember if you got last week on day 4 I think it was, it was the day that Canada won bronze in synchro diving platform, a bronze in judo and a bronze in weightlifting. Do you know if you got those athletes winning their medals/interviews/medal ceremonies? That might be the disc I need to borrow/copy from you if indeed you do have it. I haven't gone back to check the tapes yet, but if you have it, I'd love to be able to borrow it

I know that I got all of that kyle, but everything's kind of blurred together as to what exactly I got.

I am so proud of both Eric and Simon for standing up and sticking up for both themselves and their teammates, not to mention their respective sport. As for what FIFA's put the Ladies Soccer Team through...I think kyle had the best suggestion as to what they can do w/themselves in yesterday's catch all thread for Day 10.

I also *loved* what Adam said in his interview w/Brian about twenty minutes ago. Carol Huyh's coach in Hazelton BC is one of those coaches who we need more of in this Country. IIRC from Beijing, at one point when she couldn't pay her dues for the Club, he had her and a few others chop up his fire wood for their "fees". He knew those kids loved Wrestling and he was going to do whatever it took to help them follow their passion.

As I said, we need more coaches like that in Canada.

And thanks Everyone!! I went through another waste of time, because I *know* I saw this guy early on in all of this, w/a Surgeon in my hometown this past Spring. After the colonscopy that was, according to him, normal, I got the "I think it's time you talked to someone Dear." spiel.

He was damn lucky I was still so groggy from the drugs that I couldn't tell him *exactly* what he could do w/that suggestion.

The reason why I said "according to him" is because six years ago a different Surgeon in my hometown performed that same scope, didn't believe me about sedation not working that well due to all I've been through, so I was all too alert during it. Not only wasn't she able to finish the scope due to things being partially obstructed, but she tried to force it through. Which in turn made my pain worse and all happening in the area where my symptoms all are. I thought at least I now have proof that something is w/out a doubt wrong and what it is. Not according to the report she sent. Not only did she claim it was all normal, but that she was also able to check the entire bowel.

Since I put my foot down this time and was put out by an Anesethist and also montored by him the entire time this time, I have no idea whether or not that report he sent is true or not. So...

Well what do you know... CTV Prime-Time has does a pretty good job in recapping! The Weightlifting and Judo was well covered and I have it as well as medal ceremony stuff and the in-studio interviews. So I think I'm good to go there too now! I may not actually need anything after all of this... I might just have gotten it all somehow... I will check my tape tomorrow of course after CTV Prime Time is done airing all of their stuff but right now I can't believe I managed to get all of it... I'm in a bit of shock over it!

Many times, his race just a short while ago. Plus in the studio, and another interview about how he trains and a bit with his mother.

And he looked hot in all of them.

And btw, Adam told Williams he's not retiring. He said he was beaten by a 36 year old today so he figures he has lots of time left.

Despartie did say yesterday though that this was his last Olympics.

Adam also said he wasn't committing to Rio yet, but he also wasn't retiring, which to me sounds like taking it year by year. Which is a smart thing to do IMO. The next big thing to gear up for, for him and the other Canadian Team Members who are going to keep on, will be the Pan Am Games in Toronto.

It wouldn't shock me if that's when Alex dives his final event. He also said he wasn't quite done diving, but he was when it came to the Olympics. While nothing was said out and out, just from reading between the lines, I have a feeling Alex's knee/knees were giving him far more problems than the accident did. Now maybe I'm wrong, but he mentioned a couple of times he's been having problems w/one or both, so...Maybe?

Oh and Brian Williams cracked me up when he mentioned he *knew* people were wanting him to ask Adam to take off his shirt and why he didn't do it. Because he knew the answer would be "You first." and that he didn't want to frighten all of Canada or something along those lines.

I did appreciate that if CTV couldn't get Adam to take his shirt off in studio, at least they were nice enough to put up the shirtless photo of him with the flag for the standard "Canadian medalist photo" going into commercial break. It's kind of hilarious that they obviously know what their audience wants because I don't remember anyone else's picture being shirtless.

Decathlon is on CTV now. Commentator Gord Miller referred to an athlete from Uzbekistan as being evidence of the sport's popularity in Eastern Europe...
