Another US TV icon...
I didn't know he was sick.
When I was a kid, I remember being "shocked" when Everett (on a day-time talk show,) mentioned how he liked to swim in his pool in the nude. I thought that was too wild!![]()
Sorry to hear of his passing. Crappy cancer strikes yet again.![]()

Sad. And his wife preceded him in death...![]()
I had a big crush on him in his Medical Center days.
45 year marriage is quite an accomplishment in Hollywood. RIP Dr. Joe Gannon

I thought he was so cute, had a crush on him at age six.
Really sad day. I, too, had a crush on him at a very young age. His turn parodying his Medical Center character on The Nanny was totally fun.
Cancer sucks.![]()
Give me one more quiet night, before this loud morning gets it right, and does me in.

That's one way to put it Kruss.
I also had a crush on him when I was little.
May he rest in peace.![]()
Not a big TV watcher, but Medical Center was one show I followed regularly. RIP, Chad Everett/Dr. Gannon.
I had such a crush on him when I was young and I watched Medical Center faithfully to drool over him. And such a rare accomplishment in Hollywood - staying married for 45 years. RIP...
RIP Chad.
Ah so many memories, I loved Medical Center - never missed it, but that was because of Dr Gannon.
And like other posters I also has a crush, I call it a "thing" for Chad, God, he was beyond handsome.Yes, he certainly aged well.
A comment on his marriage, 45 years is amazing by Hollywood standards.
I have a grandson who is named Chad Everett, but just a coincidence, my son-in-law's first name is Everett and my daughter liked the name "Chad".
I always liked that name.

I couldn't remember if it was Chad or James Brolin whose comment about his wife being his "property" prompted Lily Tomlin to walk off the Dick Cavett Show - the obituary clears that up - it was Chad. I remember watching it and being stunned when she did it, and then LMAO at seeing him trying to explain that he was his wife's property as well.
I enjoyed him and James Daly, the father of Tyne Daly, in the Medical Center show. Joe Gannon did look good in and out of scrubs.
Condolences to his daughters.

I had a crush on Chad, too, when I was a teenager. RIP, Chad.![]()

Glad to know that I wasn't alone in finding Chad "crush-worthy"!
Didn't always agree with some of his beliefs; but, he lived by and honored them.
If you saw the show where he played a "closeted" gay police officer, you'd know that he could act, also.
He and Shelby are together again.
RIP
