That is probably about the most impressive thing most hockey skaters can do.
Now Kurt Browning on hockey skates - that is something else.

What the hell is a Ninja Twizzle? Does it have anything to do with hard shelled aquatic life forms that live in the sewer?
Thanks, I always wondered if FS moves were possible on hockey skates. This is very impressive. I would never try it. Hockey skates are way too scary, and easy to go flying forward or backward. Amazing that he can do a 2sal and axel. And also a butterfly with no toe picks.
I once saw a young woman practicing bracket-three-bracket or similar moves in the field on hockey skates. She fell, and I thought What does she expect, trying that in hockey skates?
Kurt is amazing!!!!
This should be celebrated:

This is crazy too - skating on pointe:

I love great footwork!
I had to look her up, I don't recall hearing about her before! Is this the same Darlene Gilbert who represented the U.S. in Ice Dancing at the 1964 World Championships? Where in the world did those skates come from?
Darlene Gilbert - that's got to be the weirdest skating video I've ever seen.![]()
Yes indeed, I love that number. Thanks for linking it =).
The Luck be a Lady program is the best example of Kurt on hockey skates, but just for the fun of it...

(and the figure skating version of the latter: http://youtu.be/QdxkWzOuNzA?t=48s)
And that en pointe skating video is crazy - I can't tell if she actually has reinforced shoes like skating boots are, helping her to stay up on her toe, or if she is really holding that position the entire time (which seems less likely, given that she never ever varies her foot position).
