Congrats to the Chinese 10m platform synchro winners and other medal winners as well especially Mexico's duo. Is this Mexico's first medal in diving?

Mexico has a rather decent history in Olympic diving, going back to Capilla in the 40s and 50s.
Platas and Mena dove during the 80s and won silver......
And most recently Mexico won the bronze in Women's 10M Synchro in Beijing.

Haven't seen it yet, but will try to catch it later tonight during Olympic Primetime.
Congratulations to Mexico!!! Feel so bad for the Brit boys, as this was one of those events Team GB was expected to medal in.
Anyone else realize that all of the big firsts of the Games for all three North American Countries happened at the Aquatics Centre?
Canada ~ First Medal yesterday w/Jennifer and Emilie!!
Mexico ~ First Medal today in Men's Tower Syncro.
USA ~ Saturday and Ryan Lochte's Gold in the 400 IM in Swimming.
Kind of cool and neat in a way.

I loved watching the Mexicans - I had never seen two of those dives even in single competition - the inward 4 1/2 for example!!
