Holy Effing Shit....this is, for me at least, the most exciting event I've watched

Daley's last dive has a value of 3.3, while Boudia's and Qiu's are both 3.6.

I imagine it's a lot more dangerous when you're diving from the 10m platform into a reflective surface. A flash might really throw you off.

Well then, I have to give Boudia and Qiu a slight advantage but Daley has been diving with very very clean entries and that could be enough to make up the slight deficit. I don't know who I want to win! If they all hang on for a medal then I will be thrilled with that podium.

Is this a normal occurance in diving?

To my knowledge, it's never happened before. Divers have to deal with this kind of thing all the time - Daley should never have protested and he should never have been given this kind of unfair advantage. I hope protests are lodged by multiple countries if he ends up winning. He would have been out of contention had his very first dive counted.

Daley got out of the water indicating something was wrong. His coach apparently knew right off the bat and went to the official, followed by Daley. They had a chat, the audience got rightfully smacked down about flash photography, and Daley dove again.

I feel bad that he pushed out Mitcham, but I agree that McCormick is and I'm glad he made the most out of getting to the finals.
