One lost performance I've been searching for is Gary Beacom, skating entirely to recorded birdsongs. I've heard of this performance, but never seen it.

Also, although I have seen Gary's performance with Gia Guddat with skate on their hands before, it isn't on youtube now, and I'd love to see it again!.

Here's a German recording of it, from the 1996 EISGALA in Mainz Gary Beacom + Gia Guddat

    Beier+Beier - Hawaiian OD, 2010 Olympics, Vancouver

A competition piece, but even with the slightly botched lift, it's pretty enough (and voidy enough) to be included here...

This one is fun from Shawn Sawyer. Love what he does with the briefcase.

Thank you! That is one wild & crazy routine, for sure.

Btw, the Duchesnay's TV special based on The Planets by Holst, which included skating, ballet and swimming probably qualifies as voidy

and Torvill & Dean's Six Gestures (Bach Cello Suites) with Yo Yo Ma

and Rahkamo & Kokko skating in the official video of Enigma's Beyond the Invisible

is a favorite of mine, and beyond voidy.

Wow thanks, never seen this one before. Although I was at Simon Reed claiming he'd never seen Shawn before, even though he commentated on him at the 2006 Olympics.

Kurt Browning said it on the air once during commentary. And Dick Button either said it or something else from FSU once--I don't remember that one as well.
Thanks Prancer. I'm astounded that Kurt and Dick actually read message boards.

I hadn't seen that routine of Shawn Sawyer's before! Thank you!

Here's some other retro routines that I found memorable:

Debi Thomas & Vladimir Kotin 1986 Goodwill Games Billy Jean EX
At the time, this routine seemed the very spirit of Goodwill.

Tonya Harding 1987 NHK When You Wish Upon a Star EX

Klimova & Ponomarenko 1987 EX Worlds Warming Up for the Ballet

Too bad Engi & Toth's Muppet Movie EX is not on youtube. They did it in full Kermie & Miss Piggy outfits!

There is another Gary/Gia routine to "I Think I'm losin' my marbles" by Mendelsohn Joe which predates this. If I recall correctly, they were in black and white outfits and had skates onhands and feet. I think they did it at a Sun Valley show as well as other places. I used to have it on tape but can no longer play it so sorry, I can'y post it!

    Mine, as well.
Rahkamo and Kokko trained with Torvill and Dean in the early years of their career.
They had first-hand knowledge, gained from the master!

Igor Bobrin rockin' the Paganini, with on-ice interview/performance clip from Star Ice - Russia (2008). This number also features "Bobrina+Bukin" w/ the revue skaters...

and a mental La Cumparsita tango from Bestemianova+Bukin via Dancing on Ice Russia (2006).
