Love it. I'm looking forward to seeing it develop over the season. Paul is as always.
I know. But I do not approve. And I am not resigned.

Gotta love an FD that begins with multiple .
To think that fun is simple fun, while earnest things are earnest, proves all too plain that neither one thou truthfully discernest.

Wow, just wow and so early in the season too. While the judges did not agree, I thought the gap tween P&I and G & P was actually much smaller than they did, I loved both dances for very different reasons and thought each piece suited the team beautifully, though I give the edge to P&I cause they really danced to-gether on ice, and changed mood and tempo several times showing versatility and lovely characterization, while Paul Poirier mostly carried and innovatively lifted, twirled his partner round his own body, while he skated and they made interesting shapes to-gether. I sense a fierce dance battle brewing in Canada with all these fine and uber talented young ice dance teams! Such a very deep field to choose from and what's wonderful is each CDN dance team has it's own unique look and skillset. With worlds being in Canada, the year before Sochi 2014, each team lucky and talented enough to dance onto London ice should expect huge crowd support and the accompanying pressure of so much expectation to do well. IMO, this is the make it, or break it year, one has to rise to the occasion, make an impact early and keep the momentum going right to Nationals, there is so much more on the line this year; each team must be asking themselves how to stand out, get highest levels possible, how to wow the crowd to their cause, how to stay injury free but still go all out, will there be a changing of the guard at all: will it be Politiks, who does it best on the day, who may rise, who may fall in the rankings? Who will be on the podium at Nationals, who will be punching their tickets to possible Olympic glory; who gets lost/left behind in the dance shuffle?

Sorry, but I don't really get the big deal about the FD? I don't find it all that innovative or ground breaking, while there are a couple of nice highlights here and there it feels like there are big breaks in choreography at points in the dance, the free-leg twizzles drive me nuts and it seems to me like Piper is just trying to be a cheap imitation of Kaitlyn Weaver. Next!

According to this hearsay post at GS, Adriana DeSanctis reportedly "cut her hand badly during her LP" which likely affected her performance: http://www.goldenskate.com/forum/sho...l=1#post655444

yeah she definitely cut her hand... there was blood on her hand and it appeared to throw her off. she kept looking at it throughout the rest of the program. I'm sure if I looked at my photos of her program I could see.. I will have to do that!

Speaking of photos, thank you Sylvia for sharing mine! There will be more up on my website soon. I'll post a link when they are up!

I love that rotation lift, but that music.... It sounds like a mariachi band playing a bar mitzvah.
I meant to take the high road.... but I missed the exit.

Thanks! More senior and junior photos will be up this week - I'm a little slower now because I'm in the process of moving into residence!
