Can't you see Lochte on the Bachelor? Or The Amazing Race? Or DWTS? I would love to see something that forces athletes to learn something that is very different from their regular sport -- swimmers & gymnasts trading places, for instance. I would also like a coaching show -- how to train an Olympic athlete (not someone that is overweight or "normal") both physically and mentally. I thought that the limited interviews with Phelps' coach were interesting.
Even though it's super commercial, I'm interested to see MICHELLE KWAN vs. GREG LOUGANIS ... ON A CRUISE SHIP!

After both 1992 Olympics, there were two interesting shows ... one called "Summer Skate" where skiiers, figure and speed skaters competed in roller blade competitions ... and one where various Olympic athletes had to do a sort of modified "decathalon", with swimming, climbing. etc.

That's a great story about the Polish windsurfer, thanks for posting

Also at the Irish sailing commentary. Is this a guy who makes spoofs or was it actually broadcast on an Irish TV channel live? Or does he make live spoofs?

    What do you think?
To think that fun is simple fun, while earnest things are earnest, proves all too plain that neither one thou truthfully discernest.

It fooled me. I thought he was a commentator for a little bitty radio station who had been told to cover sailing but knew nothing whatsoever about it - and also had far too much to drink or smoke

    Really?

The scenario I envisioned was that a drunk radio reporter was doing his bit with someone filming him - the video was not professional in any way.

Olympic counties: Does it matter where medal-winners come from in Great Britain? Some issues with where these postboxes have been painted - leaving some places feeling a little left out:
