beepbeep- that's what the guy says.
He took a picture of himself with his username and the date to prove he was the one posting. He could be lying of course, but why bother posting on an obscure-ish forum then?
I don't know if this video was already posted, but the Daily Show had a segment on the "excited" rower.

I love the BMX shot (flying under the flock.)
Fascinating WSJ article: String of records in London due in part to venues engineered to help athletes achieve their best
Cute article about OGMs biting their medals and other factoids.
LOVE these! Thanks, GK!

The heartbreak of finishing 4th - an article in USA Today
Shortly after missing out on a medal, Phinney tweeted at Jones after she lost: "Hey @lolojones, I know how it feels to get 4th place at the Olympics. Let's be friends. PS I have a bicycle. #wheels"
Jones joked that she doesn't follow losers.
"Totally joking," she said in an interview with USA TODAY Sports on Thursday. "Every time you experience something painful it just opens the door for you to kind of relate to somebody else when they're going through something tragic in their life.
"And not to say losing a medal is tragic. But the fact that he can relate to my pain is pretty cool. I definitely want to be his friend just for the bike, because I'm so tired of walking around that Olympic village. And then I'll unfollow him on Twitter after."

Tweet from US wrestler Jordan Burroughs:
I think the podium stand outfit is pretty trendy. To be honest, I could wear a diaper up there, as long as I'm on top of the podium!!!

I really am behind the curve. Here I've been thinking, "Poor Ryan Lochte, having to wear braces at this point in his life."
And now I find out they're decorative "grilles".
And I have just discovered that every single event that was broadcasted here, is available on the cable company's VoD channel. All HD.

Oh Lochte, you really are a world class tool (his own gold and diamond-encrusted razors):

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/201...ing/index.html Interesting SI article on doping. I've always imagined that there are sports where doping plays little part and others where it's rampant, but I'm a little surprised at how pessimistic Pound is.
Because surely, getting inside info can't be *that* difficult.
