Great Britain Rejoice! You have your grand slam men's champion! While Wimbledon would have been good, Andy Murray, you have finally done it! Congratulations to Great Britain and Andy for this win, finally getting the first grand slam title!

    Well done, Murray!

That match was insane, a truly great final, IMHO. Both men deserve respect for battling it out.

Someone needs to give Andy some Pedialyte, ASAP.

    GO TEAM GB!!!!

Andy Murray - Fantastic!!! First British man to win a slam since Fred Perry won the US Open in 1936. Now that Andy has got the first one in the bag, I think it will be the first of many

Fernando Meligeni, a former brazilian player, is commentating with ESPN.
Yesterday, he said that if Serena Williams served at 200 km/h, he would show up on the men's final with a Serena style hair. The next minute, she did just that.

After today's match, he payed the bet. Headband and messy hair on top of it.
    I'm tearing up

Since Roger's domination of the USO from 2004 - 2008, there's been 4 different champions.

Congratulations to Andy Murray! The monkey is finally off his back!

    Andy Murray!

So happy he has his Grand Slam. So happy Britain has her (within living memory) Grand Slam. So happy people can stop talking about how they don't have them. We all win.

Funny. Lendl won his first French Open in a five setter and after being down 2-0. This time, Murray was up 2, then lost the next 2.

And here come the "Nobody from Great Britain has won a Grand Slam in an hour" and "I'm so tired of these Brits winning Grand Slams" jokes on twitter. :-P

I started the match watching a tiny "silent movie" of it on my work pc. Drove home during the middle set. Glad Djokovic was playing. I have a long commute but can drive at least half a mile while he's doing just one pre-serve set of ball bounces.

I've been a tennis fan for decades. During matches like that I can never figure out whu everybody isn't. Two people giving their all for HOURS?

Just got home from bowling league, I was keeping track of the match via phone.

Incredible 5th set from Andy. I am beyond happy for Andy. He has worked so hard, his mental game this year has been outstanding.

    Happy Novak lost
