Both Ferrer and Murray are just putting it all out there - running for each and every shot!! This is a very physical match and I'm sure Murray would like to finish it at 4 sets!!

Apparently Youzhny's second child was born just hours before the match.

Well done Murray. I think he'll reach the final.

Murray was always the favourite and even after he lost the first and went down a break in the 2nd, it was still his to lose... BUT...

Ferrer = choker. You can't serve for a two set lead and hit THREE FH UE's in a row and expect to win against someone like Murray. Ferrer is such a good competitor and I think he's maxed out his skills, but he just hasn't got "it" (most of the time) against big players in big matches IMO.

It is certainly his best chance of reaching a final - but if Tsonga is on it could be tough. Still he did well to beat Ferrer and is rightly in the semis

    Sending support to Andy Murray.
I can only imagine the pressure and expectations he must deal with.

Lendl has been good for him, I believe.

At the beginning of Wimby I posted that Murray will not win a Slam. I said that because all my predictions end up the opposite result. So I'm calling Murray for the win now.

I wonder what the order of the men's semis will be? Nole vs. Roger first then Murray vs. Tsonga?

^I presume so; Murray will almost certainly be on 2nd.

I'd love for Murray to get to the final but sometimes his attitude on court really turns me off. I understand the immense pressure he's under this year and his record against Tsonga is pretty one sided in his favor so if he's ever going to get to the final, this would be the year to do it, with the Queen's Jubilee, the Olympics, etc.

Still think Djoker and Roger are playing heads above the rest of the field right now. Roger against Youzhny today put on an absolute clinic. That was vintage Roger. If he plays like this against Djoker, Novak is in for a very long match.

Those 3 UFEs came out of nowhere. It was as if his mind said "no, I don't want to win this set".

Too bad for the little dynamo. It was such a great opportunity for him to make it to his first ever slam final.

So I know everyone is talking about Wimbledon, but I was thinking of taking a road trip to Cincinatti in August for the tennis tournament. I was wondering if anyone's been there and has any recommendations for fairly cheap places to stay in the area, or what the food is like at the venue (the website says no outside food allowed, just one plastic water bottle per person).

Are any FSUers planning to attend?

Slept most of the day. Heat is killing here, where we're not used to it. Did see most of the 4th set of Ferrer v. Murray. Figured it would be close and competitive, and it was. Ferrer is amazing at what he does but just doesn't have the variety in his game to bring down Murray, and he tended to overcook his shots at key moments.

Hoping Azarenka somehow pulls it off against S. Williams tomorrow. Then I will need medication during the Federer v. Djokovic match.

I would love to see that final - but it depends on which Azarenka turns up today. She has the skills and talent to beat Williams but Serena as mental toughness that no other woman who is currently playing has and that could be deciding factor in todays match.

I sensed it though - sounds like ARad played really well - congrats to her on a maiden slam final!

Serena won, the serve was the difference today. 6-3 and 7-6

Vika has nothing to hang her head down about in this match. She played a very good match;Serena's serve was the difference.

Vika broken only once today, in the first set.
