The boys kick it off today at 5:30pm Eastern on NBCSports!

Lotsa shirtless podium training pix here. Mikulak has a fabulous tan.

    So there's no webcast tonight?

Anyone have an idea of a good place for updates on the guys?

I imagine the Examiner will have some quick hits/live updates. They covered the men's event at Nationals. Whether or not you care for their commentary ( ) is another story.

USA Gymnastics has a very thorough YouTube channel and from what I can remember from the Visa Champs, they put the videos up VERY quickly, like in minutes.......

....hopefully the person who did that is working the desk today, too!

Ooo, I can't wait for the Trials to start! I'm so happy it's on NBCSports. I get that channel. I don't get UniversalSports.

Yes! I don't get Universal Sports either so I'm really happy it's on NBCSports too.

I'm so excited that we're at this point but I'm going to be crushed for those who don't make the team. Can't everybody go?

So here are the Live Scores: http://live.usagym.org/index.d.html
Live radio broadcast: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CJsPC7q-E0 (Nothing to see but at least provides some live info)

OOB for Leyva on Floor and scored 15.0 so he can do better than that. Sounds like a great PBars routine for Mikulak. Stuck landing and a 15.7 score. Horton started on rings and scored 15.450

NBCSports HD broadcast is excellent. Much better HD than Universal sports. They will be awesome for olympic coverage this summer.

So, do the highest scoring in each element or the overall score make the team? It's easier to watch swimming and know who hits the wall first.
Your program sucks and your partner just fell: lay down and play dead or think Feck this and do a Th3A at the end of the program: Aliona Savchenko: Definition of a competitor

The top gymnast after the 2nd day of trials goes automatically. Any gymnast who lands in the top 3 on 3 separate pieces of apparatus goes automatically. The rest of the team is picked by a selection committee.

NBC's way of showing scores makes a lot more sense to the audience, I think now. They show the max score, and then the deductions, as opposed to the D-score and the E-score.

Meanwhile, Sam Mikulak is ON. He wants to be on this team, badly.

He and I are on the same page on this topic.

    Seems to have just disappeared.

Any general impressions type of PBP that those who can watch it can provide would be great. I have technical PBP on twitter but that's doesn't always tell how the routine looked in general.

Damnit, Brooks fell off PB. I know he's not gonna make the team anyway because of Mikulak, but he's not helping himself by falling!

Sorry, it's just Brooks is my fave and he just keeps missing making major teams, and as a fan, it sucks.

Those are both overall between all four days, right?

Yes, Nationals and Trials combined. And Tim said earlier that the top 2 make it automatically, at the top of the broadcast they said 1, so I'm not sure which it is anymore

Mikulak just grabbed the lead! (I feel so dirty cheering for a Wolverine...)

MSU doesn't have Men's Gymnastics, do they? In that case, I think you should get a pass.

Another solid rings score from Orozco. And really good on PBars for Horton!
