My impression was that Long has a lot of work to do PCS-wise, but the program wasn't bad. Could definitely use more polish

ETA: the video crapped out on me too

Definitely, but IMO, she's already well ahead of where she was last year. For a season debut, that was extraordinary. She'll do very well on the JGP this fall if she can skate like that again.

Avery Kurtz's unofficial Jr FS score was 67.30 according to someone there. Her FS was to the Lord of the Rings soundtrack.

Barbie Long was very impressive today and must have been working hard in the off season!

Long may have the jumps, but Bell deserves the highest PCS. She catches your eye the moment she's on the ice. too bad about the jump mistakes

I caught most of Mariah's FS, also to West Side Story!

I saw 3F+1T step out, 3S nearly fell, 2A, 3F fall, 3Lz fall...really needs to work on the jumps if she wants to be competitive! Great presentation, though, as usual.

Bell skated to West Side Story - jazzy version with solo violin (Joshua Bell?). Score: 39.86 TES/80.00.

Is Polina Edmunds skating in this group? How did she look in the warmup?

P Edmunds was spectacular in her R&J program. The 3-3 was awesome even with that hand touching the board. Send her to a JGP!

Wow, wow wow. I'm seriously impressed. Not one, but TWO 3-3 combos from Polina Edmunds.

3Lz+3T slight run in with the board, 3F+3T beauty, 2A, 3Lo+2T+2Lo, 3F, 3Lo, 3S. The junior ladies are already rockin' it in June!!

101.71..I just realized she did EIGHT triples so she achieved that score even with her last 3S not being counted!

56.30 TES/101.71 for Polina Edmunds! Her Romeo & Juliet (Nino Rota) FS was a soft, tinkly piano version and she wore a crown or headband of flowers in her hair.

Oh my! Polina was on the bubble to get an initial JGP assignment but surely she will now! Holy cow, ahead of Barbie with an illegal element. And she just turned 14 and grew a lot recently which makes it that more impressive. 3lz-3t and 3f-3t...maybe SHE will be the Gracie Gold of next season. Ack so excited, her spins are amazing too, so fast and great extension, and she has gorgeous long lines circa young Kostner. Yaaay

Exactly! I'm just happy we got to see all of the elite skaters relatively problem free.
