Sending hacked emails aside, Padma is fairly amateurish. I tend to think she lost a family member in the plane crash, or she's the daughter of one of the terrorists trying avenge him in some way.

If she really is working for the initiative, then I'd be disappointed as there's already too much initiative in this story - I want more on real people. At least they are making fun of it in a way - all very Bondish. I did like that Emily clued in immediately that Crawley was spying on them. She will use that to her advantage.

What REALLY annoys me is the impossibility that someone like Padma - young, never an executive - would EVER be the CFO of a company worth hundreds of millions of dollars if not more. The CFO is in some ways the most important person in a company of that size, and they are privy to every deep dark secret. Nolan may be an emotional mess in his personal relationships, but he's smart in business, so there's no way he should have given someone with no resume and no background check that level of responsibility. And we know how easy it is for him to look people up for heaven's sake. I can see him wanting to trust someone - but not in that position.

Similarly Marco - while it's possible that Marco was at his side when the company was an upstart, at some point in its growth, every tech startup that hits the big time hires a few seasoned executives - they have to. I guess Nolcorp was never public and doesn't have a board (although I thought this was mentioned at some point, no?), because Nolan's choices for CFO would have never been allowed.

As for Conrad - my favourite character these past few eps! - I think his toying with public office is completely realistic. Men with shadier pasts have succeeded, and let's also remember that men like that have such huge egos that they think they can get away with a lot. Keep in mind he hasn't said what office he wants to run for either - could be a simple as mayor of Montauk, or a position in the state legislature, where people often want to support a local guy who's going to look out for their interests. Plus, he's only putting out feelers - again realistic to see what his opportunities might be. Plus he's bored - this is a way of keeping busy, an excuse to stay in the thick of things, and to mess with everybody, Conrad style.

Also, did everyone notice that Stonewall or whatever, that Crawley says is going to be very valuable in what was it? a few months? is a salvage company. Sounds like they are planning another terrorist strike, and want to have a company lined up to do the clean up who is on their side and will help cover up their involvement - and why not make some money along the way when they get the huge contract and triple their value?

Did anyone else pick up on the synchronized leg crossing when Emily sat down with Victoria? So now we're supposed to see how they are becoming alike?

Who's body was it that was showed before the "2 Days Ago" flashback? Was that Emily when she was pretending to be shot?

A solid episode. I really loved that final scene between Emily and Daniel--it's been awhile since I really felt a spark between them. Although, it was assy of Daniel to leave his sister's party after a minute of attendance.

Aiden is hot, but I really don't care about his sister. And couldn't he have tried to kill Victoria in more subtle ways?

Loved that Nolan discovers what Padma is up to so quickly, thank goodness. I actually liked the two of them together. I LOVE his new house. At first, I thought the key chain was another Initiative hidden camera. But I guess not.

Please, please, will Emily finally get involved in the Stoopid Brothers plot and finally finish it off?

I too am pleased Nolan is no longer in the dark. Although I hope he swept that house for bugs. Nolan is more fun when he's playing the con. Clearly the Initiative rule by intimidation, so I supsect Padma is a relunctant accompliace due to something that have on her.

If it weren't for the fact that we're dealing with two shows that are on different networks, I'd suspect we'd see a flashback story in "Revolution" where Nolan's Carrion program is behind the global black out!

Aiden seriously? You think your sister's dead? Given how many people come back from the dead, you'd think he'd realize that her sister could just be comatosed or given some sort of paralytic drug. I don't care about him and wish her were out of the picture.

Glad that Emily "came clean" to Daniel about Victoria. Smart move considering that she knows Victoria will return to undermining Emily's interaction with Daniel.

Have to admit I LOL when Charlotte said she legally changed her named to Clarke.

I enjoy the fact that Ashley isn't even pretending to be subservient to Victoria. If Emily isn't around to trade barbs with Victoria, it's nice the Ashley can help pick up the slack a bit.

Still don't care about the Porter's Plight, but at least it gives something for Conrad to do. And we finally know why the bar is so important to the Ryans. They want to build a casino. Yawn.

No kidding! She's the one that found the house, made the arrangements and handed him the keys for heaven's sake.

Tad disappointed that Padma was working for the initiative after all as I had hoped there was another dimension that put her story more in the revenge camp with Emily and Aiden, instead of unlikely fantasy world. But we carry on - this means the initiative knows that David Clarke was one of Nolcorp's earliest investors. One has to wonder why no one - especially Amanda herself - isn't thinking there's got to be some money to be had there. At least while he's in control of Carrion, the initiative has to keep Nolan alive and able, and with Emily's (somewhat selfish) suggestion to play Padma now, we have a good ole cat and mouse game.

I like Aiden in general, especially Emily having someone in her space as a lover instead of Gullible Jack and Dumb Daniel. Also like the idea of a revenger losing their focus - it's happened to Emily, so she's in the best place to talk him through it. But I don't like seeing him that weak, and like others, sorry but I don't care what happens to his sister. We have nothing invested in her. I do wonder why the initiative is bothering with her and Aiden though - seems small potatoes. And if they know so much about Aiden, why they don't know about Emily.

Because aside from the fact that Emily and Aiden have spent a lot of time together over the years they've been apparently watching Aiden, you'd think through the board of Grayson they might realize that Emily knows Takeda (do they have something with him, thus the interest in Aiden?), and that Emily and Aiden spend a helluva lot of time together?

As for Conrad - this season's standout character IMO - I actually like that the Gullible Brothers story is swinging around to him and the prospect of a casino battle. This is the stuff of classic night time soaps - real estate deals, power plays, local politics. Exactly the kind of thing that Abby Ewing and Greg Sumner would have locked horns on, so this could be lots of fun.

I thought the dialogue writing was fabulous this ep - even just the first scene of Conrad and Victoria at breakfast and then Ashley shows up - delicious!

I don't think he's taking the house. He said that before he told Emily about Padma. He may be suspicious that there might be bugs. I sense that Padma actually does care about Nolan and has no choice but to do wht the Initiantive tells her to do. I think they definitely have something on her, and she's struggling. I don't think it's selfish, on Emily's part, to encourage Nolan to "play" Padma. As long as Padma doesn't know they're pn to her, they can feed her misinformation. It not only benefits Emily's cause, but it benefits Nolan's position in Nolcorp.

The video of Aiden's sister bothered me. How long had it been since he'd seen her? Was that even his sister? Was it staged?

There's been a lot of that. Thankfully Emily finally said something to Aiden when he was on the porch, but she seemed more concerned with Victoria seeing them - but she's been quite sloppy too. Yet another of those suspend your disbelief moments on Revenge I'm afraid.

I agree. There have been too many sloppy scenes where she and Aiden are out in the open (hotel, outside the hotel, the beach, etc) where they embrace or are clearly engaging in covert behavior from an outsider's point of view. I kept expecting Daniel to come round the corner and catch them. But instead he was at the pool with a drink (way to demonstrate your work ethic CEO-boy).

Now, that was an episode! Everything worked except for Aidan (who does not have the requisite history and goodwill, IMO, to be able to treat Nolan shabbily) and his Stoopid Dead Sister. Looking forward to next week!

I totally agree with everything you said and next week's show brings us back to those first scenes of the season where we know someone died on the boat so I am majorly pumped to see what all happens next! Between this show and Once Upon a Time, the level of epicness could be off the charts for me and I think I'm going to be an emotional blubbering mess next Sunday night, LOL

Lots of random thoughts about this episode:

1 - Emily's cable knit sweater is gorgeous. GORGEOUS! It made me want to sit beside a beach fire in a cream cable knit sweater. I'd just choose a more stable guy to sit with

2 - Nolan. WTF was the reveal to Padma? That was my first thought. She might still be playing him. And now I'm wondering if he's still playing her, and that he's told her about the dummy programme to see if she goes searching for the real one again.

3 - Daniel. I felt sorry for him, especially when he broke up their farcical relationship. He genuinely cares for her. But OMG, why hasn't anyone but Emily twigged to the fact the office is bugged?!

4 - Conrad. Just...ew. He plays such a good villain :lol

5 - Victoria. Hmm. Are we supposed to think she's a villain now? Or feel sorry for her? I kind of feel both. She made her own bed, after all...

6 - Amanda. Going rogue like that is going to get someone killed! But who? Ahh! Nail biter!

I'm endlessly curious what led Victoria in the preview to say to Daniel that Emily is the one who has brought misery to the family. It suggests she learns something critical about Emily.

Confession: I had a LOST reflex when Victoria gave Helen the combination to the safe. I immediately was trying to remember the number of the plane that went down and seeing if it coincided with the safe combo!

She could have said the evidence was in the pool house knowing there was a gun stashed there.

Or she could have lured her, but IMO her face when Helen turned up showed genuine surprise.

And Victoria is always blaming Daniel! Anyone but herself. She betrayed the man she supposedly loved because of Daniel, and the life she would have with Daniel and David, which somehow led her to choose Conrad. Her choice, but Daniel's fault, apparently
