The ISU Council has made the following ISU Championships allotments:

Season 2014/15 ISU Championships

ISU European Figure Skating Championships – Stockholm/Sweden
ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships – Seoul/Republic of Korea
ISU Junior World Figure Skating Championships – Pending
ISU World Figure Skating Championships – Shanghai/China

Wow, this is the third time Korea holds 4cc now. I think they need to up their expectation and preparation for these skating events considering the biggest event they'll be having in 2018.

2008 Worlds in Sweden were crowded, so Im happy they get Euros, specially after the dumb decisión of givin 2013 to Zagreb aka *dead crowd* again.


First worlds in CHINA, yay! Another positive sign of that Fed intentions to keep developing the sport there.

And I agree Korea needs to hold a World Championship before 2018. 2016 Worlds maybe??..

My guess is that 2016 Worlds will go to Europe, and the USFSA will hold out for 2017 Worlds. Not only is this the first time for back-to-back Worlds in Asia, but it's also the first time since the 1950s that the U.S. will go more than 6 years in between hosting.

If US decides to go for Worlds 16/17 i hope they field Boston. I know they just got Nationals 2014. If not Boston, hmmmm...... I can't think of any other city.

I'm still bummed that I wasn't following skating when Worlds were here in Los Angeles!
