I think with Jason on the Olympic team- he needs his own thread.

I would split it up as well but I hope that there will never be any fan wars between fans of these skaters.

I hope so too, Hedwig. I agree that it's time....

I will miss this thread though. It was started not long after they stood on the podium at Junior Worlds together for the first time and has seen so many ups, downs, and in betweens...injuries, Josh's allergy, the struggle with the triple Axel, and then the quad, the medals at the Junior Grand Prix and the Final, the JW podium sweep, Josh's National redemption...so many great memories.

We've still got another thirty-six posts before it becomes strictly necessary, however.

Once again I must applaud him and Kori Ade for their patience with the 3a. johnny weir said it took him 3 WEEKS to land a 3a; Jason took 3 YEARS. To have kept at it and not given up is quite impressive.

It's way over million views for Jason's LP right now. He gotta have his thread- I cannot quite wrap by head around it- is he becoming a household name based on his National performance?
I'll say again that this thread was wonderful. Thank you all!

I do think it's time for a separate thread. This thread will always be special though.

I will say that coming into Nationals, I was by far a Jason uber than a Josh fan. But Josh definitely gained a lot more respect from me now that I've seen him live. I loved his FS, especially that step sequence. I can't wait to see him develop. I think with Jason and Max, the
men are looking a lot more promising.

I think it is time for two threads so we can see how they develop in their own way!

So, I'm thinking given the whole viral
think, my earlier thread title suggestion of "Riverdance your heart out" would be appropriate!

Or we can quote the Business Insider article: "America is
going fall in love with Jason Brown"

Please don't do this again. They are two completely different skaters and just because you like them both doesn't mean that everybody else does.

    I like this one!

SO SO SO SO SO pleased that Jason has earned himself some public attention with his FS going viral, and will now get to show the world what he can do on the big stage at the Olympics. I always said that kid was going to be super famous someday...glad to see that "someday" is turning into "right now".

I like that one. Also for some reason it reminded me of the song "Another Day" from "Rent" with the lyric "No day but Today," which oddly could be appropriate for Jason's focus on today rather than worrying about the past/future. When he performed that Riverdance FS, he wasn't thinking about anything else but skating that program clean.

Also Jason talked to the folks at WGN in Chicago this morning: http://morningnews.wgntv.com/2014/01...s-shaggy-hair/

The anchors are kind of silly, but Jason gives some good insights, like Kori's superstition of not wearing clothing with the Olympic rings until they made the Olympics (!!) and how the performance itself wasn't a big surprise (skating clean as he trained) but rather the audience's reaction to it.

It's clear that Jason is still in disbelief...he's just so excited!

Probably the best part is seeing Jason's hair UNLEASHED! The anchors were totally all over it.

I was gonna say, on Monday night Jason's silver medal made the evening news snippit on the WGN radio station. They hasn't interviewed him at that point so they played a snippet from his TSL interview...it's not every day you hear TSL cited on public radio, haha!

One has to think that therein lies the difference...it's so much easier to appreciate something when you have to really work for it.

    I like that.

    I also like; Jason Brown- 2014! 2014! 2014!

I loved how he said in a few interviews Kori has always been going for 2014, and he's been like, no 2018, and it wasn't until late this season (probably TEB, IMO) he realized maybe he had an outside shot at 2014.

    I like that one too.

Here's another suggestion based on the the headline from Buzzfeed: "Jason Brown: Drop everything and watch!"
Or because it's Buzzfeed: "Jason Brown: More viral than a cat gif"
Or keep it simple: "Jason Brown, Ponytail Power!"
Or if you want to be meta: "Jason Brown: We were uber before 2014."

I'm having too much fun with this as you can see...

Jason should sell his ponytail on ebay.
