That would be so wonderful if Jason could have a career that long in competitive skating. I really hope it happens for him and for all of us adoring fans! His love for the sport is undeniable and admirable. Best of luck to him!!

Our favourite young men are off to the biggest Nationals of their careers! I'm so excited!

Jason has his boots ready to go!

If I understand Lukas Kaugars' tweets aright, Josh and the Damon-Christy crew left Colo Springs at somewhere just after 3am this morning. Hope they all got into Boston at a reasonable hour for some well-earned sleep.

I think there's a filter on the photos that makes them look blue. But I have noticed he always wears boot covers in competition so maybe they are blue, we just don't see 'em.

Now suddenly I think Jason needs to do Elvis.

I read in an article with his coach Kori Aide that Jason spun out on an icy road in Colorado and totaled his car. Thank goodness he didn't get hurt. Best of luck to you Jason and getting to Boston safety. I can't wait to watch both of your fantastic programs. You are wonderful!

Poor Jason! I'm so glad it wasn't serious! (Well, obviously it was serious for the car!)

Wishing luck to both Jason and Josh...I wish both could be on the Olympics team...they're by far my favorites of the men competing.

Eeew, I think Jason got the creepy TSA guy at Chicago airport...

After going through the body scan at security this morning, a man from TSA asked if he could pat down my ponytail!!! #firsttimeforeverything
Josh and Lukas tweeted more-or-less the same thing about two minutes apart:

@joshDfarris Time for the first practice in Boston! Can't wait to compete!! #isitfridayyet
    From the practice reports thread:

Jason had a totally clean run-through of his SP and hit all of his triples (including Axel) about "95%" of the time; reportedly very relaxed.

Josh skipped the jumps in his SP run-through but worked on them later; hit all the triples and spun out of a quad.

But it's this from Aceon6 that has me most excited:

Don't you know that Jason hides his knives that he uses to take out the other competitors during warm-ups... All kidding aside, I'm really glad all three had strong practices. I'm hoping for Adam to win the championship and Jason to come in second, but also for Josh to grab a bronze too. Good luck guys

    Start order's up!

#9 9:15PM Jason Brown Skokie Valley SC

#16 10:48PM Joshua Farris Broadmoor SC

Josh is followed immediately by Max and Lukas. Jason appears to be in the last group before the resurface.

Meanwhile, that's about lunchtime or thereabouts for me on Saturday; great job, boys!

Kori confirmed that Jason wiped out his car:

Brown had a scary weather-related experience two days ago when he spun out in heavy snow in Colorado and totaled his car. Coach Kori Ade assured us that he's absolutely fine.

"He didn't even go to the hospital," she said. "He was changing lanes and lost traction, spun out and hit the median three times. He's fine, he's in great spirits. He said, 'My parents didn't even get mad at me!'"
And there's a photo as well (photo #13 in the gallery) - yep, that's totalled. Bent the chassis rail without question. Impressed there's not even a crack in the windscreen though. Tough car.

Oh dear Jason...although I am impressed that he doesn't even have whiplash. Not even a stiff neck? Maybe he really is made of rubber, because that's not a light impact!
