Well here's an interesting titbit. My guess is that the date and possibly location of this video is wrong. I have the official ISU 100th anniversary centenary video and there's a wealth of old clips on there including this clip of the lady shown from 30 seconds on this video. It is none other than Madge Syers-Cave, the first ever world ladies champion and Olympic gold medallist in 1908.
Great find!
Inspiring Mirai Nagasu!
What a treasure that footage is!
I was just cleaning out my house and found a large box of cassette recordings from the mid-90's!
Should have auctioned them off on ebay before youtube made everything available!
Are you in the US, or elsewhere, Manaud?
Even if they end up on youtube they are still valuable because the youtube version is nice but there is nothing like an old good quality tape

Perhaps this has been posted before but it such a great story.
A video about the life story of Ellen Burka (Dutch former figure skater and a Canadian figure skating coach. She was the coach for Toller Cranston, Karen Magnussen, and her daughter Petra Burka). A beautiful story about how skating saved her life in world war II and how she changed figure skating while she was coaching.
