Considering that the Frog Pond ( in Boston Common) is managed by the Skating club of Boston, I would say most definitely.
With the Purple line running directly into North Station which is located in the main venue, it really opens up a lot more for hotels/motels on the North Shore. I wind up having Disney on ice skaters stay with us all the time when they play Boston. It's about a 40-45 minute ride.

Looks like I'll be breaking my streak of attending Nationals in Olympic years, unless I can talk my husband into making a family vacation out of it.

Oh, maybe they'll have weekend packages again. That might be feasible. *crossing fingers*

You both need to take the little one to Harvard and MIT and get added inspiration into her at a young age.

Wheee! The Downeaster train from Portland pulls into North Station, which is downstairs in the TD center!! When do we know what the official hotel is?
Ah, FSU! Where thread drift comes to play.

And early January!! (Guess having sufficient time to rest/prepare prior to the Olympics trumps football scheduling )

Is Hilton still a sponsor? If it is vote on a Hilton, but I know that's not who it was last time.....

Greensboro was the only Nats out of the past 8 held on the east coast. SA has only been on the east coast once (2009) in the past 5 years. So it's nice to not have to wait another 8 years for Nats to come back to the east coast.

I hadn't even noticed the dates. January 5th -12th. Good dates. Now we just need to see the schedule. I really hope NBC and USFSA came to their senses about the schedule.

    Boston is good for me.

Hey, the Holiday inn express is only $230 plus 12.5 percent taxes....if the tickets are only 1400 and the airfair is 600, and the food is $500, petty soon we are talking real money! Its a great place for me to visit as I havent seen the historical sites....the old north church, the Constitution, etc....lots of good restaruants.....how much is a cruise to Hawaii?

For those checking out lower priced hotels, familiarize yourself with the MBTA map first. Just a heads up that the system doesn't run overnight (last trains are around midnight at most locations) and that there's reduced service on Saturdays and even less on Sundays.
