Yeah! Finally, USFS rediscovers the east coast!
I wonder if it's too much to hope that SA will be on the east coast that year, too.![]()
So happy!
YAY!!!! This makes me so happy to have Nationals in my backyard again! 2001 was a great experience and I can't wait to do it again!
for Boston and
for scheduling it during my winter break!
Creating drama!
I liked all the choices but it's nice to see a location that wasn't used recently in the mix.

Whee!!!!!! TD Garden is basically walking distance from work, so I might not need to take any time off the first few days of the event.and more

Yes! Not sure if I can make it, but this is a great location!
Q: Why can't I read the competition threads?
A: Competition forums on the board are available to those with a Season Pass or a premium membership How to View Kiss & Cry
Whee!Definitely should be able to do a weekend.
Also, the Regionals and Sectionals host cities for fall 2013 are announced below the news about Boston.
ETA: That a skating club will be the local partner/organizer and not a generic events company or tourism agency bodes well for the organization of the event. SC of Boston has so much experience with Nats and other comps, I'm sure this Nats will be awesome.![]()
Happy for east coast FSU-ers.
I'll get more (or less) excited once I see ticket and hotel prices.
My Life Would Suck Without FS-You
PARTY! I wonder if it is possible for me to request this week off from work now.
Kevin: He compared Scott to a disposable feminine cleansing product one might use on a summer's eve.
Meagan: Yeah, and the bag it came in. -The Big Bang Theory, performed by the Canadian WTT team and interpreted by Cyn.
YEAH! I had a great time last time. It's not going to be cheap. (Hotels in Boston are normally OUTRAGEOUS) so prepare for sticker shock!
Just checked for the same weekend in 2013... $200 a night is the going rate
But I have a friend who lives on the T![]()
I'm going to guess that the USFSA would never have accepted a bid that didn't include decent negotiated hotel rates, so I'd expect once the announcements come out we'll see hotel rates less than that.
Only ice is cooler than Daisuke.~ IceAlisa after the 2012 WTT men's event.
I can start taking offers for room at my house lol. One thing Boston and its suburbs have is an abundance of hotels. Some North Shore communities (like Salem) are very nice places to stay and have convenient commuter rail service right into the Garden. South Shore locals will bring you to South Station (where the exhibition center is close by). Lots of options, price ranges and varying degrees of convenience.
Hmm... they want decent "negotiated rates" for them. Not sure they really worry about the rest of us...
Plus "decent" is in the eye of the beholder. There was a lot of whining about rates this year for example, but once again it was a high $$ hotel cost city so the rates weren't bad, but they weren't what you got in Greensboro. Of course you can use public transport in Boston and won't need a car.
SO EXCITED! I've never been to a skating competition before, and this is the perfect opportunity! Also, so glad that a skating club will be organizing the event; I think it'll make the even more personal.
