OMG those are just beautiful. Love his leg line in them and the lean.

One of my favourite spreadeagles if the one Kurt Browning did at the start of his Antares program.

    In no particular order:

    Boitano
    Cassar
    Curry

Here is one of Brian's most famous programs, based on the spread eagle.

Can I vote for Kurt Browning for best spread eagle in hockey skates?

    Or 1:55 ish here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djPepQvJEeQ

I do love that Antares spread eagle and the similarly timed/controlled flat-edge-flat-edge-flat spread eagle he did in this year's "Waiting For My Real Life to Begin" group number.

But I do have to give the edge to Boitano on this one for the skaters I've seen...

I love how Jonathan Cassar showcases his spreadeagle (especially with the nice arched back and long hold on the inside eagle). However, I'm going to have to give it to Boitano for 2 reasons: (1) Boitano could do them well on both sides (i.e., right foot leading or left foot leading), and (2) Boitano had enough control over his spread eagle to land a great 3Lz out of it.

Boitano had the best outside spread eagles ever, but his inside ones were not very good. Cassar's are the best insides I've ever seen, even better than Wylie's. They barely seem possible.

I have never seen that program so thank you so much for posting. Just confirms my belief that Browning is one of the most versitile skaters ever. How many other figure skaters could do that in hockey skates.

Nielsen was US bronze medalist in 94 and 95. I think he was coached by Carol Heiss Jenkins.

    Information from Aren Nielsen's website:

In 1993, Brian Boitano selected my music and choreographed my Long Program.
