China's will probably be a basketball player (nothing new there), probably Yi Jianlian.
Chris Hoy is a good choice!
To think that fun is simple fun, while earnest things are earnest, proves all too plain that neither one thou truthfully discernest.
Nice honor for Chris Hoy. I'd have loved to seen Cav do it, only because he'd probably start crying with emotion and excitement, but I certainly can't fault the choice of Hoy.

It was confirmed this morning that Stanislas Wawrinka will be carrying the flag for Switzerland.
Is there an idea of who will be the flagbearer for the USA or is that a closely held secret until Friday?

Norway can't find one:p Most of our athletes won't be attending the opening ceremony at all, because they are competing really close to it, or they haven't arrived yet... That goes for most of our medal hopes; Andreas Thorkildsen, Olaf Tufte, and the woman's handball team. Our Olympic commitee have no idea who to name lol, It was in the paper today. Team Norway will consist mostly officials Friday night. Really. Can't wait![]()
Kevin: He compared Scott to a disposable feminine cleansing product one might use on a summer's eve.
Meagan: Yeah, and the bag it came in. -The Big Bang Theory, performed by the Canadian WTT team and interpreted by Cyn.
Finland´s flagbearer will be the swimmer Hanna-Maria Seppälä, 27. These are her 4th Olympic games. She was fourth in th 100 m free in Peking.
Seppälä is the first Finnish lady to carry the flag in the summer olympics.
Finally!![]()
Ireland's flag will be carried by Katie Taylor.

Norway still can't find one. It was suggested that Alexander Dale Oens girlfriend, or his brother, could carry the flag to honour his memory. I still can't believe he won't be competing in the Olympics, it's so sad that he is gone, and I thought it would be a wonderful gesture, but it turned out it wasn't allowed. The flagbearer has to be an athlete or official...says the IOC.
So, we still have no flagbearer. Our Olympic commitee says they will decide today. Of course, they should pick a swimmer, but the coach says no, too close to competition.
