I have never been to a Canadian skating event and would like to go to this year's Skate Canada. Are there any hotels near the Windsor Family Credit Union Centre? Any restaurants? Thanks.

As always thanks a lot Sylvia!![]()
Does anyone know what the host hotel is?
Very excited to say I bought Skate Canada tickets today! I took my mom to Casino Windsor and we swung by the arena to purchase the tickets. There was absolutely no restaurants or hotels nearby that I could find until back near the waterfront and the casino. It was about a 15 minute drive in mid morning traffic. Looking forward to October!

Can anyone recommend a shuttle service from the Detroit airport to Windsor? Has anyone taken this service? thanks.
I doubt (but don't know for sure) that there would be something as simple as a shuttle between the Detroit airport and Windsor, only because of the need to go through passport control/immigration at the border. I could be wrong but to decrease the hassle factor, it would seem to make more sense to stay on the Windsor/Canadian side of the border.
I am actually flying into Detroit and then staying on the Windsor side for the event. A poster sent me a PM about RobertQ transportation which will provide shuttle service from the Detroit airport to Windsor (and back) for a very reasonable fee.So now I am off to book my flight.
