With P2 possibly going to miss the first few weeks of the tour, it's really not in Idol's interests to have him win. Plus there's the "saved from elimination" narrative to play out for Jessica.

And I think Phillip will do better as the runner up, in any case. Sometimes I wish David Cook had been the runner up instead of the winner, and maybe gotten more freedom with his albums. Oh, well.

Not really in the mood for a Whitney song, but Jessica was very powerful. An off note or two, but good. Just kind of a predictable choice.

I found Simon Fuller's song choices to be cliche and lazy. They were well-sung, but why two old standbys?

Disliked Jessica's original song or whatever they're calling it. She sang it okay, she needs to embrace and enunciate lyrics in general.

Feck, I knew it... They gave him a song that they knew was going to play to his core crowd, Tongue bathing... the song was mediocre at best... He's won easily. Feck... Another completely undeserving idol win.

or play reverse psychology. Either way I just think it'd be so wrong for the winner of a supposedly viewer voted show to be someone that was rightful voted off earlier.

I didn't like P2's song, either, but it's definitely "him," and will play to his fan base.

Throwing people under the bus doesn't work. See Cook, David and Allen, Kris.
