Zahorski/Miart split? Wow, I really liked them.
Zahorski/Miart split? Wow, I really liked them.
I really enjoyed Charbonneau's freeskate at Skate Detroit. Skate Canada would have been a nice opportunity for her.
This is from back at post 326 (Kwanfan1818), but I don't think anything has changed (host can select any one from this list, in no particular order):
Tobias/Stagniunas (18-USA)
Chock/Bates (20-CHN)
Alessandrini/Vaturi (22-USA)
Slobina/Sitnikov (23-CAN)
Ralph/Hill (25-CAN, also 21 WS)
Zahorski/Miart were "host" picks however, so I don't know if that changes anything. As in, the French Fed can pick anyone, regardless of where they are on the list.
If the French fed gives up the spot, it will go to somebody on the substitute list.
France has no other Senior ID teams.
So anyone want to venture a guess as to who gets Ando's spots?
ok my guess would be Biryukova COC and Glebova TEB
Please please pick Mirai. Her Finlandia performances show her head is in the right place!
oh, I'd be delighted to see Glebova at TEB. or McCorkell, for the sake of irony
.
Hmmm, "cheapest to transport"...
Glebova trains in Hackensack, New Jersey, Nagasu in L.A., Flatt near San Francisco, Osmond in Edmonton, AB, and Biryukova in Moscow.

who cares, not me and not the u.s. public, since most people in figure skating wants to blame michelle for the WOES. when the certain people can't see and understand they are the problem. for lack of u.s. people watching.
why--they haven't done what the public wanted. and never cared what they thought, done said. only what they wanted and ignored the u.s. public so now we ignore them and could careless who they want.push, we won't buy or care what goes on.
you ignored us, we ignore us.
Probably LA or SF to China and NYC or Moscow to Paris. But Nagasu is already at CoC and there are already three Russian ladies at TEB.
Does Flatt's even want a second that would break up her studies even more?
ETA: schedule-wise, TEB would give Osmond more time to recover. Osmond would have to fly Detroit to China, or possibly from Toronto non-stop, since SC is the week before.
Also Ando is already scratched off the GP grid; the Japanese Fed gave the ISU fast notice.
That's it for Ando's one-time shot as a "come-back" skater for two automatic GP's. She'll either have to compete at 4C's and/or Worlds to get two spots -- I assume she'll get two if she's on the top 24 PB list, because the Japanese Fed can force it by keeping a TBA at NHK -- or she can get appointed to NHK if she sits the season out.

Lacoste already got COC so I doubt CHN federation would chose Osmond. Biryukova is the easiest and weakest to transport from there, so she gets my pick.
As for TEB the likely choice is Glebova, but if french federation wants to sell a few more tickets Nagasu could finally get her 2nd event.
