Had no idea he'd been fighting colon and liver cancer. Very sad, I wish he and his family peace.

He's been very ill for a long time, unfortunately.
This is really sad news. My thoughts and prayers are Robin and his family.

He has always been my favorite Bee Gee.

Okay, but which is the BeeGee with the high voice?
For rather obvious reasons, I was listening last night to the Celine Dion CD that has My Heart Will Go On on it (no snarky comments about the song please. Whatever you think of it, it really *really* helped me during a very difficult time in my life back then, so...) and the Bee Gees had teamed up w/Celine for, ironically, a song called Immortality which is one of my favourites on that CD. As I was listening to it, I was wondering how Robin was doing, as I knew his health had taken a bit of a nose dive the last little bit.
So sorry to hear that he's now in a coma. Those guys could harmonize like no other and I love listening to their stuff. He and his Family will be in my thoughts and prayers.![]()
Barry developed the falsetto that became an important part of their sound. Robin has a distinctive vibrato sound.
ETA: All my Bee Gees is on vinylexcept for one greatest hits cassette tape
that I ordered a few years ago during a Bee Gees special shown in a PBS pledge drive. I think it's time to get into the 21st century with some Bee Gees tunes.

Sorry to hear this and hope he beats this.

I heard that he had been admitted to the hospital recently but had no idea he'd been so ill. Very sad.
Q: Why can't I read the competition threads?

((Robin)) Sorry to hear this but not surprised. He has had cancer for so many years that I am surprised he has lived this long.
Poor Barry, He has outlived all 3 of his YOUNGER brothers. How sad and how lonely for him. RIP Robin. And no I am not really jumping the gun, he is too far gone to come out of this. I just am hoping for a peaceful end.
At least his twin is waiting for him in heaven.
I hope he's staying alive.
How completely inappropriate, heckles![]()
Sorry, I was just jive-talking.
He was suppose to be at the world premier of his and his son's classical piece to commemerate Titanic on Tuesday and was slated to do many interviews on british TV in relation to it but was totally unable to do any - his son RJ did all the interviews by himself. It was fairly obvious to anyone watching these that Robin was very very ill as only that would have kept him from attending the event. So sad that he is so ill and Barry must be devesated to be losing yet another brother!! I hope that is this is the end that he goes peacefully![]()
Good news: he has woken from his coma, and has begun to show signs of recovery.

I guess you did indeed "jump the gun". No one is God but God, not even doctors.
When I heard this news today that Robin had woken up, I literally cried. I've been praying for him. I'm so happy for him and his loved ones. I'm praying now that he continues his good recovery.

I'm glad he saw a new morning.
