To think that fun is simple fun, while earnest things are earnest, proves all too plain that neither one thou truthfully discernest.

The Daily Mail is such a rag.
Just so you all know we were so honoured and thrilled in Ireland to be a part of the relay and wish our neighbours and good friends the very best of luck for a wonderful Olympics.![]()

The Daily Mail is a frigging nightmare (but I read it for the celeb gossip!) I think it was lovely the flame went to Dublin, I'll never forget seeing the torch relay and think our close neighbours deserved it.
Actually, it should have been run through another close neighbour, Paris too to be![]()
Nice words Fred, but you are so going to rip the piss out of the opening ceremony I know!

I know, it's pretty obnoxious even by Daily Mail standards!!
This did make methough
Rachel O'Neill, nine, from Churchtown in Dublin, said: 'I came here to see Jedward carry the Olympic torch. It was awesome because, like, they're Jedward.
'I didn't know it would be a big thing with a fire on top, I thought it was a torch you would shine stuff on.'

I'm glad they survived. I seriously thought their hair would catch fire or that they would drop the torch or something.
