Well, based on some prior comments as well as the attached, it looks like SA 2012 is yet again on the West Coast and in Washington State(Kent). The announcement will be made at 9:45 AM PST

If true, I'm planning!
There's an arena in Kent? My only knowledge of Kent is the Great Wall Mall (love the name) and IKEA.
Anyways, yes!!! And it's very close to the airport, y'all!
Based on the fact that 4 out of the last four US figure skating events have been on the West Coast or just about (SA 2011, 2012 Nationals, 2012 Four Continents & 2012 SA), 2014 Nationals had better be in Boston!![]()
Surprise, surprise: west coast. Again.
Disson Skating's "Unforgettable Moments of Love on Ice" was held at the ShoWare Center in Kent, WA, on January 26, 2012 and televised by NBC on February 4.
I've enjoyed attending competitions in the Northwest Pacific region (2005 US Nationals in Portland; 2008 Skate America in Everett, WA, 2007 & 2010 Nationals in Spokane, WA) and hope I can go to this one!

At least the hotel room rates don't look too bad. But then again, that's before the local hotels get wind of it and decide to jack them up to what the market will bear. I just checked the rates in Omaha, Nebraska for Nationals' week and the Courtyard is now charging $249 a night if you haven't already nailed down the $139 rate through the housing authority.

LOL!!! Kent!!!!!!!![]()
Because it's close to the airport (well, actually two airports), there are a lot of hotels. And, yes, a lot of these hotels have shuttles. If you want to explore Downtown Seattle, drive to the park n ride to the Link Right Rail (on the weekends, the parking lots are empty).
I wondered how long it would take you to find this. LadyNit!
Pacific Northwest, yo!![]()
Q: Why can't I read the competition threads?
A: Competition forums on the board are available to those with a Season Pass or a premium membership How to View Kiss & Cry

Another one I will not be able to go to.
And I was so hoping.
I have relatives in Kent; so I can see them while I'm there.
I do understand your frustration, though, Doris and pollyanna.
I was hoping to meet both of you!
I'll be there but was hoping not to have to make that long 2700-mile haul so soon again. Dang Midwest and East Coast never stepping up!
