Kling says he is equally interested in choreographing competitive and show programs.

"I'd love to do both," he said. "I feel like I have a lot of ideas that are kind of new to the competitive realm. I watch skating today, and it's very easy to stay complacent with the same kind of style and music, and I'd love to work with skaters and try and change that a little."

Great competition! Kudos to all the participants, and many congratulations to Garrett and especially to this year's winner, Mark. Both so very talented! I look forward with anticipation to seeing more skating choreography from Mark and Garrett!

Loved, loved Mark's final challenge trio number with Maddie, Ryan, and Zach. Wow! Great idea to have both finalists choreograph using the same music and the same skaters. Both trio numbers are a stroke of genius. I especially loved the way Mark had the pair off move with one of the guys swinging Maddie, and the other guy seamlessly catching Maddie's arm and leg anc continuing the swing move. Really, wow! Beautiful interpretation by Mark to the music and the skaters were spot on as well in both numbers.
