Carolina Kostner: best programs, most interesting programs and the best skating skills of all the ladies, senior or junior, competing this past season. Also, she was arguably the most consistent skater this season (I never thought I would put "consistent" and Carolina in the same sentence). The only skater who was probably more consistent was Julia.

Kostner, she won Euros and Worlds!
CSIZNY? THIS season? Are you serious?!
This is based on performances throughout the entire season. Whilst Czisny had a disastrous finish to the season, she had a good first half. She won a grand prix event and made the grand prix final, in which she suffered an unfortunate injury.
I happened to think that the injury in the grand prix final did lasting damage to her season, as by the time she had recovered, it seemed to have completely undermined her self confidence. Had the injury not occurred, her season could well have turned out very differently. Hence, I think she merits a place in the poll based upon her good start to the season.
I think people are writing her off prematurely. If she can remain injury free, she can rebuild her self confidence during the off season. That could well set up for as good a season as she had in 2010/11. Remember, she has come back from disappointing form before.

Kostner >>>>>> Tuktamysheva >> Lipnitskaya
For me, Ashley comes before anyone, even Carolina.
She won US title, 4cc, and finished the highest since Kimmie. Plus she pulled that off with all range of seven triples(albeit one of them is flutz)
How often do we see that in a recent flock of SENIOR ladies?
It's between Mao and Alissa, as a long time fan of both.
ISU season's world ranking --
1 2650 Carolina KOSTNER
2 2092 Akiko SUZUKI
3 2088 Alena LEONOVA
4 1569 Viktoria HELGESSON
5 1516 Mao ASADA
6 1491 Ashley WAGNER
7 1380 Elene GEDEVANISHVILI
8 1315 Kanako MURAKAMI
9 1303 Adelina SOTNIKOVA
10 1259 Alissa CZISNY
11 1254 Kiira KORPI
12 1166 Caroline ZHANG
How the heck is Viktoria HELGESSON ranked 4th in the World? Am i missing something here?
Viktoria is ranked 10th, not 4th. http://www.isuresults.com/ws/ws/wsladies.htm
I picked Carolina because she has the artistry, good quality jumps and spins. The quality of her skating is number one amongst the rest imo.
fan5 is referring to the 2011-12 season's only ranking above - here's the link: http://www.isuresults.com/ws/wr/wrladies.htm

I fell in love with Polina Korobeynikova this season. Hope she'll improve her consistency !
