Looks like Denis Ten is working with Lori Nichol again.

Someone should skate to "Only Happy When It Rains" and "Stupid Girl".

JW: It's a special kind of music. I'll just mention that I was personally given my SP music by Lady Gaga.

    SM: You're kidding....
JW: Nope. The SP will be really cool. As for the LP... I went to the skaters of the 50s and the 60s, whose programme was much longer and included cuts from different pieces. I'll have the same, but modern and with a fast beat. There will be a lot of classical bits, music everyone knows. The theme of the programme is phoenix. How it rises from the ashes.

    SM: Do you mean yourself?
JW: You bet. I'll tell my story on the ice.

    Thanks, Sylvia for the quote!
I hope he gets Lady Gaga's designer to make his costume as well.

Yuna Kim presented her gala to 'Someone Like You' later than Davis/White, but, in my opinion, it's even better than Davis/White's. So, it's mostly about who does it better, not so much about who did it first.

Oh wow.. sounds exciting! Performing to Lady Gaga's music and telling his story on ice. Can't wait to see.

Yeah, Johnny! I wouldn't be surprised if Gaga herself makes an appearance and even gets credentials to sit in Kiss n' Cry as part of the 'creative team'!

Exactly what we need in skating. Skaters not afraid to be themselves and challenge themselves artistically. When I read the "losing weight" part, it always scare me because he thinks he has to be very very skinny to land those quads. I saw him in shows recently and he already has a low % body fat and looks fit.

Anyone think that having Lady Gaga running around the KnC and the esplanade won't draw some much-needed increase of interest in figure skating?

    Good boy, Johnny!

I think we should just stop this thread now as no-one is going to be able to top having their music written for them specially by Lady Gaga.
To think that fun is simple fun, while earnest things are earnest, proves all too plain that neither one thou truthfully discernest.

When he said the music was given to him by Lady Gaga, I wasn't sure if that necessarily meant it was her music. Couldn't it possibly be music that she just recommended to him?

That was my first impression as well.

Oh gosh, I'm not serious! Last year there was a ridiculous thread about how I/K "stole" D/W exhibition to Someone Like You, which made me considering how generic most exhibitions are and how ridiculously overplayed that song was.
