We are the producers of "Skate-To-Learn," a skating exhibition benefiting two charities focusing on after-school programs for children-Brooklyn Ice and Boys & Girls Clubs in New Jersey. The show will take place on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Sport-O-Rama in Monsey, New York and we'd love it if any of you could attend (or donate money to our charities even if you can't come).
We have a wonderful cast, featuring Ksenia Makarova, Gretchen Donlan and Andrew Speroff, Marissa Castelli and Simon Shnapir, Danielle Montalbano and Evgeni Krasnapolsky, Samantha Cesario, Nicole Rajic, James Schetelich, Ice Theatre of New York, Sean Conlon, Dalia Rivkin and a number of other national and sectional competitors.
As teenagers and figure skaters ourselves, we know how important it is for children to have healthy and meaningful after-school activities and both of our charities offer wonderful after-school programs. Boys & Girls Clubs sponsor programs for children emphasizing character-building, sports, fitness and academics and much of the money raised by the show will go the Club in Lodi/Hackensack, which suffered extensive damage in Hurricane Irene. Brooklyn Ice, which was founded in 2005 by Violet Eagen, provides free skating lessons and enrichment classes in the off-season for children living near Brooklyn's Prospect Park. Last year, three of us co-produced Skate-To-Learn 2011, which raised over $18,000 for our charities and we're hoping that this year's show will be equally successful.
So, please come to the show and have a great time. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students/seniors and you can order tickets and find out more about the show at our website www.skate-to-learn.org or by e-mailing skatetolearn2011@gmail.com.

Good to hear that Cesario landed a "great triple flip!" following the injury that forced her to withdraw from Nationals again. Would you like to share any other comments/highlights from the show?
