I am so happy to see all these new programs and skaters that I have never seen before. The end (of the off season) is in sight.
Has Liza skated yet or is she still injured?

Liza is back on the ice but don't expect to see her here. Julia will not be here either.
same, just wish them good health, fast recovery in top form by GP
though I agree any of the Top 5 can vie to be nationalsl no. 1 any of I/K, B/S, S/Z, R/T, P/G, the judges seem to favor I/K now, though by technicality, I think S/Z can do much better, they have good speed and better twizzles.
well see in GP, I'm hoping for an I/K vs S/Zshowdown in Rus, though very unlikely. R/T and B/S are still slow
So many posts about silly ice dance. I have to scroll and scroll to find the important stuff.![]()

Your program sucks and your partner just fell: lay down and play dead or think Feck this and do a Th3A at the end of the program: Aliona Savchenko: Definition of a competitor
Time to start a "From Russia With Love - Autumn 2012" thread!

It's way to early to say S/K will bypass B/L, they haven't won much yet and here she fell on a jump, put her hand down on a throw and had a messy double twist. Way to early to give them and Olympic medal unless it's in 2018.
I feel bad for K/S, I'm starting to think their Achilles heel is Moskvina.

I know its too early, I was just basing it their competitive track records
Bazarova's weakness has always been SBS jumps , S/K was their lift and twists
we'll see how the GP goes but like I said, If they can all skate clean they have a chance to surpass B/L by next season
I was so confused until I remembered Stepanova & Bukin stayed junior.I liked their take on the goose lift.
I've started a new thread: From Russia With Love - Autumn 2012

I like it! the music cuts are scary beyond all reason, the concept is vague and it's not clean. BUT!!!- and it's huge for me- the body language is much edgier, they show me they can so smth. modern ( and I hope they keep going into modern direction), and I finally- finally!- notice and appreciate Soloviev. Everything can be improved upon, and yet I can root for them in this incarnation. Dance for me cannot be completely enjoyable with a partner utterly in the background both physically and emotionally ( well... unless it's Navka) and her eye-candy Kostomarov). I really appreciate Zhulin giving Soloviev an expressive part on ice, and I feel he is capable of fully growng into it.
Looking forward to seeing more of the this year. Music is weird though. Wish they'd taken something modern- edgy. I dunno. Philip Glass. Or some comtemporary ballet score.
