You could probably teach tots how to skate in there. Inside, it looked like meat locker.
That is so cool. I'd use it - I'd practice three turns, certain moves, spins. I am jealous!

Wow! A private patch! I would totally do figures! If you could fit a serpentine, it's also possible to practice a lot of adapted ice dance patterns.

I'm still jealous. To have my own private ice rink, no matter how tiny - that's actually a dream of mine. When I was young and in gymnastics, I wanted to buy a house with a massive, tall room, to put equipment in - now, as an adult, I want my own little ice rink.

Indoors. With a tiny zamboni. Why not dream if you're gonna dream?

ETA: Apparently, there are companies that will build indoor and outdoor custom rinks for you, with chillers. How much do you suppose that costs? How rich would I need to get...

Still want it with the tiny zamboni, though.

ETA: they have a tiny ice resurfacing machine. Sigh.

It is like a ride on mower that they have stuck a blade on and water tank. Very cute.

OMG. Those rinks are actually at people's HOUSES? If these houses and rinks cost as much as I think, then I would wait for the bank to foreclose when the people go bankrupt - as they might well be in danger of doing - and see if I could get a good deal

Her father was a big do it yourselfer. He built the rink from scratch. I don't remember how they resurfaced the rink. They probably just hosed it down and squeegeed it.
