You didnt like the duet Crystal and Lee did? as one dimensional as Lee's voice was, I loved the duet that they did!

What exactly is the point of these duets?

Filler. I prefer it to the types of filler they normally use. I'm all for seeing more of the contestants performing, rather than pointless fluff and miscellaneous BS.

Nope. That would mean fewer ads and less cash.

Phillip with Genesis' "That's All." Not a great vocal. He really doesn't have much range at all, as has been pointed out in previous weeks. This is his worst performance yet, IMO.

DeBarge, Foreigner, and (shudder), Genesis?

Tonight's episode is particularly painful to watch - I was a teen during the 80s, and most of the mainstream "pop" is some of the worst music of the '80s. The good stuff was either underground, were one-hit wonders, or had minor success in the US (being much more popular in the UK, Europe, and Australia).

Hollie and Deandre doing "I'm So Excited!" Sounding pretty good and doing authentically horrible 80's dancing!

It's a little mellow for this song though. It's like they drank wine coolers before the show rather than overdosing on caffeine pills. Everybody knows you gotta be hopped up on caffeine to do this song justice.
