Alissa won the Senior Grand Prix Final in 2010, becomming the first U.S. lady to do so since Sasha 8 years earlier. She was the best in the world on that day.

I think so. But that was obviously not going to happen based on how she was skating all season.

It's also interesting to reflect upon how Zawadzki and Zhang could have done at Worlds at their very best. Either way, I hope next season both of these ladies continue to get more exposure. I would like either or both to medal at a GP event.

^ I think Zhang could definitely be top 10. However, I doubt it's realistic at this point to draw up a similar scenario for Zawadzki since she has been unable to do a clean FS (or clean programs) since becoming senior.

But the original claim is that Ashley didn't medal even when she skated her best. And that isn't what happened. So it doesn't seem much like the point at all.

Very nice combo though...good height and distance on all 3 jumps. I like Angela Wang. The only thing she's missing right now is a Kwan-like transformation in terms of her maturity and artistry. She's definitely got the goods...
