That's awesome. Just the other day a friend I used to do gymnastics with and I were debating whether or not we'd ever be able to do half the stuff we used to do. We figured probably not, but I'm going to rethink that

I think if you stay in shape all along it is possible. There is a woman in her 70's at my rink who competes at adult silver. She had never skated before age 62. Whenever I see that Hawaiian Ironman race on tv there is always at least one person in their 70s or 80s who completes it.

Frickin' PLANGE at that age?? That is STRENGTH right there, folks (see her p-bars routine--she'll pause in a short of half-handstand, holding her body nearly parallel to the bars). That takes an immense amount of strength at any age.

I reposted her floor routine on my Facebook page the other day and say I wanted to be just like her when I grow up! I was even more impressed with her bar routine! Wow!

Given the ages of the ladies on the podium at Worlds this year, she should take up figure skating

    Go real-life Granny!

Women like her are an inspiration to me, when your parents are barely 60 and convinced they'll break apart in a slight wind.
