I haven't seen an official announcement, but I emailed Tricia Laroche of the US Athletic Foundation to inquire about their benefit show this year, and she said An Evening On Ice will be July 21 at the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo, CA.

I'm assuming that Kitchener Waterloo will have Moore-Towers/Moscovitch, Bobak/Beharry, Orr/Furiano, Rau/Simpson and probably Mulder/Lioudvinevitch, dancers.

Stratford would have Bell/Sylvester novice pair who just went to Jr worlds

    Brant says something about Orr/Furiano

Guelph is going to have Bobak/Beharry

Preston is also the same day as the Kitchener show, don't know if Bobak/Beharry will skate there also as it was his club for years

Bobak/Beharry will be skating in all four shows. They are not appearing in Preston. The Preston show is the same weekend as KW. Info can be found here: http://www.prestonfsc.com/Newsite/Ic...ce%20show.html

Not sure about Bell/Sylvester in Stratford. Orr/Furiano will not be in Brantford but will be in KW along with all the other teams noted as well as Steele/Schultz who also made the national team this year. It will be the last performance for Lioudvinevitch/Mulder as she has decided to concentrate full time on university next year.

    ‏@EmilySamuelson just tweeted:

Be sure to come by the Ann Arbor Ice Cube to see Melody On Ice:
The Wizard of Oz ice show tomorrow and Saturday. Todd & I will be skating
    I found this kink:
    http://www.annarborfsc.com/node/240

    Melody on Ice 2012

Show Title: The Wizard of Oz on Ice
Show Dates: Friday, March 23 and Saturday, March 24, 2012
    Show Times: Friday 7:00pm / Saturday 2:00 and 7:00pm

    I noticed "Director: Eliot Halverson"
Is this that Eliot who won the junior title at the US Nationals in 2007,
or is it just coincidentally the same name?

    Local NJ article: http://teaneck.patch.com/articles/te...how-next-month
Dalia Rivkin [2012 U.S. Junior Figure Skating Championship Intermediate Ladies Pewter Medalist] ... along with 30 figure skaters, has been invited to participate in the 2012 “Skatetacular.” Rivkin will take to the ice at the Richard J. Codey Arena at South Mountain, 560 Northfield Ave., West Orange, on April 1. Show time begins at 5 p.m.

    Thanks, Sylvia!

I really liked him when I saw him compete around 2006-2009,
and have been wondering what he is up to lately,
after hearing that he had to battle medical issues.

I am glad to know that he will play such an important role in the show!

This doesn't help anyone wanting to go see the skaters perform, but today at the Chatham Figure Skating Club carnival, Moore-Towers/Moscovitch skated

The skaters didn't know they were coming so it was a good surprise, even for us adult skaters!

Anyone attend this show this past Saturday who is willing to share their impressions?

I came across this local Maryland article today when searching for news about the Next Ice Age company and the show: http://www.hometownannapolis.com/new...n-the-ice.html
"We've been floating around for two years in this Impressionistic painting," said Nathan Birch, the company's founding artistic director.

Claude Debussy based his music on art by James McNeill Whistler, and the 13 student skaters have been practicing the complicated piece for a couple years.

"I just like listening to the music," Sophie said. "It's very nice. It's almost like there's hidden things in it that are cool to hear."
    ...
"On the ice, you're gliding," Sophie said. "When you're gliding, you can hold a position, extend the movement. On the dance floor, you can't do that."
Also this related news item: http://www.bmoremedia.com/innovation...ing040312.aspx
Young ice skaters can take their talent to the Next Ice Age, a Baltimore-based ice skating company that last month formed an apprentice company.

Tim Murphy, co-founder with Nathan Birch of The Next Ice Age, says the apprentice company, for ages 8 to 12 years old, will train and work with aspiring young skaters in the region.
