I dunno. Perhaps there should be a hiatus while the governing organization works out how to deal with it.

    1) #801, if you have an opinion.

    2) Swan Lake or Sleeping Beauty?

    really short chapters in fiction:

"My mother is a fish." ("Vardaman" from As I Lay Dying, by William Faulkner)
    or
"F*** you." (Chapter 1 of Savages, by Don Winslow)?

I haven't seen any of them, but The Best Intentions seems like the one I would be most interested in.

    As programs only(!):

    a) Autumn Leaves or Fate of Carmen?

    b) Appassionata or A Day in the Life?

    c) Culture or Rush?

    d) Serenade or East of Eden (recall that the latter was used twice during the 2001-2 season)?

George Sanders played Jack Favell in the 1940 version of Rebecca and Addison De Witt in All About Eve (for which he won an Oscar), was the voice of Shere Khan in Disney's The Jungle Book, and married two Gabor sisters (though not bigamously, of course). Charles Strickland in The Moon and Sixpence and Alexander Joyce in Voyage in Italy are two of his other more celebrated roles.

I don't read enough detective fiction to give your question the respect it deserves, so I'll just continue to in disbelief at my desk.

This was George Sanders' suicide note:
Dear World, I am leaving because I am bored. I feel I have lived long enough. I am leaving you with your worries in this sweet cesspool. Good luck.

Wowsers! Sounds like 'ol George had problems. LOL

Agatha Christie - if only for her infamous disappearing act.

Saudi Arabia is sending two female athletes to London. Neither met the minimum requirements in their respective sports to compete in the Olympics. However the IOC has granted them special status which will allow them to compete. So do you agree with what the IOC did?
