It's hard to know how much of the problem is training and how much is nerves. But, she seems to have done better than others in handling nerves and she chose a tougher song than most and one that makes pitch problems obvious.

I totally get what you mean, some of the ending of the notes were abrupt and awkward but the sound that she has in her voice there is real potential there if she can get a vocal coach and some lessons, she can go far.

Between the Halie, Haley, Hollie, Bailey - someone is going to have to be stellar for me to remember the right name with the right face.
    Too many similar sounding names..

I don't think Haley will be with us long. I wanted to like her. She has a cat. But this is so....not good.

WFT? Everytime she sang words she had the backup singers. Terrible outfit.

Heh. I'm just listening to the show, not watching. If this were The Voice, I might be wondering if this were a male or female contestant.

Didn't like the screeching. And I'll bet someone told her to do that. I remember Crystal saying that they were always trying to get her to sing big and add glory notes.

She's kind of going for a Florence and the Machine thing here, but she's not quite succeeding. There were parts that were good, unfortunately there we parts that were ghastly.

But I don't get why she's getting hammered for picking a "popular song" when everyone has picked a well known song.

Randy giving honest criticism. It would be easier to take seriously if he were consistent with it.

"A little trainwrecky." I am so going to start using that.

And if he didn't seem like he was still trying to take Simon's place and be bluntly mean. I think there are nicer ways to say what he was saying and still provide honest constructive criticism.

Part of me wonders if he said it because of the play on nightmares and dreams. I do agree it was "trainwrecky".

I can't wait to see the recap on Idology on Monday.
