Thanks for posting the People article. Love how Rudy is going to teach her daughter.

Couldn't have put it better. Interesting how she's carried on her mother's tradition of giving her children Anglo first names but Japanese middle names, as a way of honoring their heritage in a Western nation.

What a great article! Kristi has always been such a classy woman. It would be great to see her daughter follow in her footsteps. Time will tell.

There's a 40 year old not needing botox any time soon. What a lucky lady and a very nice one too.

i can't believe it's been 20 years and she doesn't look much older than when she won.

Such a good memory to me. I watched it live, and was so impressed by the ladies that night (not that it was perfect, but by the attempted difficulties : so impressive).
Kristi is one of the best ever, and a real role model.

Really like Kristi. Remember seeing her at Olympics growing up and was one of the 1st Asian ethnic faces that made a huge impression. Then of course Michelle followed her!!

I enjoyed watching her overcoming her shyness on Dances with the stars few years ago, thought she's amazing and so impressive and professional. When the music comes on, she is a different woman. You can tell she is a great champion.

I even had better luck. As team leader for the US I was my fortune to stand by the rail and see that fabulous performance. Yes, I cried.

Kristy remains as a wonderful memory and a continuing beacon for the all skaters to emulate.

She had book signings in the Boston area this past week. I was lucky enough to be able to go to one. She is very charming and so are her children's books. There were quite a few young girls from local skating clubs there. One even brought her ice skates for Kristi to sign, which she did.

Yeah, couple kids brought skates to the one I attended as well.

A heads up to anyone looking to attend: forget bringing any photos to sign. A few folks brought photos to sign and she said she would only sign books and skates.
