Video of 21st Paektusan Prize International Figure skating Festival in North Korea

This looks like the North(?) Korea television broadcast (48 minutes) of this year's show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3j3HOJF66Q

Plushenko's performance begins after the 9-minute mark.
Denkova/Staviyski begin their performance around the 16-min. mark.
Pechalat/Bourzat are at the 23-min. mark.
Lepistö is at the 33-min. mark and Shen/Zhao follow.

    Short article: http://www.kcna.co.jp/item/2012/2012...0217-13ee.html

(Discussion/other news links for this year's show can be found in the "Finnish skating news, part II" thread in GSD.)

    Here's a ~3 minute "highlight reel" version that includes a clip of Plushenko doing a 3Lz and a glimpse of Denkova/Staviyski and Pechalat/Bourzat: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jx_x-pxxhXw

If the North Koreans could get their act together, they'd be synchro world champions by the end of next season.
To think that fun is simple fun, while earnest things are earnest, proves all too plain that neither one thou truthfully discernest.

North Korea has made occasional forays into major skating comps and their skaters aren't half-bad. They just need exposure to international competition

Just goes to show what the fear of being sent to a labour camp can do.
