I voted Janet Lynn because I believe she is the greatest skater ever from North America. I'd vote for the Kween if the poll asked for the greatest competitor.

I voted for Michelle Kwan for a few reasons:
1. Her record is unprecedented and unreplicated;
2. I grew up in the Kwan era;
3. She's one of a very small number of skaters who've moved me to tears over a program.
