I booked it too. I do hope that sometime nearer to the competition they won't phone us and tell us that they overbooked it (didn't leave enough rooms for the skaters!) and that we have to find another accommodation. I know that this has happened to some people in Niece this year, and the only accommodation available at that point was quite far and very expensive.

I remember someone was interested in renting an apartment for a week in the neighborhood of the arena. I remember seeing more and more apartments available for a shorter rents in Zagreb and the prices are reasonable, especially if there are more people sharing a place. Since i know that part of the town well - feel free to PM me and I will be happy to check out the place you have in mind.

also croskate@zg.t-com.hr is a good address to send questions since it is official one from the croatian skating federation.

Hopefully that won't be a problem, I think there are something like 19 floors so lots of space for everyone!

I know it's quite early, but I'm interested in sharing an apartment too. I was thinking about staying for the whole week (Mon-Sun or Tue-Sun)

For people who were at Euros 2008, from a plan they sent,it looks like the D tickets are behind a glass, is it good to avoid first 3 rows?

if you want me there I am probably interested to stay with you

But the hostel I was at in 2008 was quite OK as well.

I think the gala is not included in the All Event since the tickets sold in the top bracket for the gala are the same as those for the All Event - but now you mention it it makes me nervous I might have duplicated my order!

If I hear anything back I will post.

I had replies to my questions as below. Looks like Gala is included, but I would like to double make sure on this!

    1. At this point, credit card payment is not accepted, correct? - (reply) yes it is correct

    2. Do you have any plan (in the future) to change the way of ordering ticket? E.G. Ticket distributor will sell the ticket on your behalf?
(I just guessed, in this way, I may be able to pay by credit card. It's a bit difficult to do the bank transfer from my country). - (reply) no, I am sorry

    3. 100 Euro (all event ticket) include Gala? (reply)- yes it does

A bank transfer? Yikes. My bank's fees for a transfer are ridiculous. For those who have been to Zagreb Euros in the past, do you think Mr. DaveRocks and I could still get "A" tickets if we bought them in person in January?

I booked the Sheraton Four Points months ago, so I'm hoping that they don't cancel my reservation! The hotel seems to be relatively large (280 rooms).

When I ordered some DVD from ISU, the bank's fee for transfer was something like £35, (flat fee for any amount of money to be transferred), so the bank transfer was actually more expensive than the DVD. If this is the only way to pay for the tickets, it is ridiculous!

    bank transfer

But where does it say this is the only way of getting the tickets? Bank transfer, I mean... This is what they said in the e-mail? Cause I sent a bunch of e-mails (on the adress indicated on the website, on the mail of the Croation federation) and no answer yet . They really should be more organized; and the mail on the official website should really work. In Nice this year, in Turin two years ago I used the credit card; and all was just fine.

On the other hand, I do not understand how you choose a particular seat if there's no map with the seating on the website... Maybe I'm too demanding but I would very much like to know what tickets I get.

On the other hand, this European is very, very cheap; at least, comparing with the Worlds. So, it's quite a bargain, we really should go
And I'm not sure about the Gala... Why are they selling the tickets in the same areas? A or D? They presume the sectors won't be crowded with all-event owners or what? Anyway, 100 euro fost the entire competition is... how should I put this, amazingly cheap. This year, a ticket for the two hour show with Plushenko in Bucharest was almost 100 euro...
So, shall we go? (I presume also the D sector is not on option, beacuse of the glass in front of it...)
Is someone already bought a ticket, please share your experience I take into consideration the bank transfer, but I need to get the official information..

You don't get a map because there are no assigned seats. You chose the seats when you arrive and can move around.

That's seriously weird. I can imagine how it will be really crowded every day before they open the door, because everyone will want to have a good seat. Some people may stand in queue hours before opening the door every day...

Really? So, you don't get a seat, you get an area (A or D) and you seat wherever you want; depending how early you arrive... I don't know if it's good or if it's bad. On the other hand, in Nice, this year, I had been stuck in a certain seat with two very tall and loud ladies in front of me... So..

If I understand correctly you were there in 2008? How was it?
On the other hand, still no official answer until now; no information about the bank transfer... (or am I the only one in a hurry, here? )

Thank you for the answer; it clears some of the shadows...
