    2013 Euros - Zagreb

    Hi all,

2013 European Figure Skating Championship is going to take place in Zagreb, Croatia and I have plans to attend it. In 2008, the tickets were shockingly cheap (40 euros for an all event ticket) and here's hoping it will be the same for 2013.

So, does anyone know when the tickets are out on sale? I searched for the official site but it seems there's none. Any information regarding the event will be much appreciated.

Thanks and have a good day!

I think they wont' be on sale much before the event. I suppose they won't be out until September. I can't wait to go there as well, I had a blast in 2008!

Yeah, I loved Zagreb 2008, I have some of the best skating memories from then, perhaps because the event gave an impression of being so small and familiar, it was so easy to talk to skaters and run into them near the venue. I know I shouldn't be happy about it, but the skaters' protection wasn't as strict as in most places, so it was very easy to hang out around them all the time. I even once managed to use the official skaters' bus to go from the practice rink to the main one

It looked a little poorly organised, but I didn't care. The prices were heavenly low. Yes, the main and practice rinks were far away from each other and there was pretty much nothing in the area near the venue, but there also was a pleasant, mild southern-European winter. I'd take Zagreb's January weather over Tallinn's, Helsinki's and Bern's anytime.

I really have to consider attending. It will be either Zagreb or TEB. Probably will depend on the TEB lineup.

I live in Zagreb, so I can not wait.
When I get some information about the tickets - I will pass them to all of you.
I think they will try keeping them low, but probably wont be as low as in 2008.

Off topic: good news is that smoking is now banned in all places where food is served. I know that many of you had problems with extensive smoking everywhere.

    There's nothing pretty about it.

Zagreb is a lovely city though.
To think that fun is simple fun, while earnest things are earnest, proves all too plain that neither one thou truthfully discernest.

Well, there is a chance (a rather small chance) the competition to take place in "Arena Zagreb", newly built multi purpose arena where many concerts, sport events take place. Recently huge hockey matches took place there and it was amazing.
I dont know if the organization team will be able to afford it.
    This is how it looks.

    zagreb europeans

If it is the same arena it is very old and no backs on the seats. The skaters hotel is right across the plaza from the arena. Public transport is nearby. There is a new musem in Zagreb - the Museum of Broken Relationships

last time the tickets went on sale about October

that arena is certainly not as cold as Berne!

I am looking forward to being back in Zagreb

That building looks magnificent! But if they hold the Euros in that arena that means the ticket prices will go up, dont you think?

I just came back from The museum of broken relationships!!!

I imagine that the prices would be higher if the competition takes place in Arena. But, it will probably take place in Dom Sportova, since the budget will be tight...

I had actually been informed by the Croatian Skating Federation that the 2013 Euros website with all the information would be up in June. It's July already and still no news... The wait continues!

I just heard from a friend that the tickets are available for 100 euros for the all events tickets, but she was unable to purchase them through the website...so close and yet so far away.
