    Skaters with tattoos?

Which prominent skaters (that you know of) have tattoos?

I believe Jeremy Abbott has one...? I may be wrong..

ETA: Tanith tweeted a bit ago about getting one removed that she got when she was younger.

Jeremy Abbott has two, one on his shoulder (I think it's a Chinese symbol) and one of the Olympic rings on his calf/above his ankle.

    I feel creepy knowing this.

I remember reading once that it was tradition for ever Canadian skater to get the olympic rings and a maple leaf after their first Olympics. Not sure if it's true.

Jeremy actually has at least one more, he got a "believe" tattoo that looks the same read upside down and rightside up (or at least that was the goal) at some point. It's on his inner upper arm.

Actually, at least 2 more (note leaf tattoo).

It's true! And some of them are in really interesting areas!

There's one very prominent male skater, still competing and has been around for ever that I think should have a big "L" on his forehead.
If I had a dollar for every time I got distracted, I wish I had some ice cream.

John Coughlin has a the angel Michael tattooed on his back. I believe AJ Reiss has one too. That's just off the top of my head though.

I think Larry takes the cake for most-tattooed coach / somewhat recent competitor. He's running out of skin above the waist, and below the chin, at this rate!

Sometime this Fall, US Figure Skating had a call out on their facebook, asking skaters about their tattoos for a potential feature story (whether web/icenetwork or for Skating magazine, they didn't say). There was a pretty even response in favor of such a story, and against such a story... so it'll be interesting to see if it sees the light of day this spring.

Trankov mentioned the one on his back is spelled wronged and needs to get it fixed. Jeremy Barrett has the Olympic rings on his arm but I can't link from his facebook.

Yeah, there's a good shot of Coughlin's tattoo in this video. Actually you can also see one of Rockne's as well.

I just can't see Barbara Ann Scott doing this. But hey, go figure!

Back in '48 of course, it was probably the old British Empire version of the Canadian flag.

Plushenko has a large winged cross on the inside of one forearm, a diamond with a traditional saying on the other, and on the inside of one wrist has his wife's name in katakana.

I think he has a new one too, but I'm not sure. Either way, no more short-sleeved costumes for him.

Gachinsky has one on his leg, apparently.

The first skater with a tattoo that I remember hearing about was Tai Babillonia. IIRC, she has a butterfly on her shoulder.

Brasseur was showing off the ones from Eisler during Lillehamer '94 Gala. That's all I can remember right now.
