    Very old but it probably wasn't even reported here in the UK when it actually was news. Difference is that Witt is now a judge on Dancing On Ice and she's doing well so the DM will go a digging

    I remember hearing about it way back when it first reported--so it was talked about in the States. But I don't remember if it was in the papers/news, or if it was Kat talking about it in some interview for some skating thing, or in a skating magazine.

    That was what some people claimed but the Stasi records (which are now public) don't support this allegation.

    I think Witt benefited greatly from the system in East Germany and knows it. But that's different from being a Stasi spy.
