Does anyone know why Alissa is not going to 4cc? Is her injury still lingering, that's why?
I'm sorry if this has already been discussed. I couldn't find it.

My guess from the get-go? After the experience last year, where they KNEW she'd be exhausted at 4cc, she probably decided that it was better to focus on Worlds this time around.

Her coach made a comment (several it seems, but I am guessing reporters just phrased it differently after one interview) that she would be going. This leaves me to assume she was not offered the spot.
Zhang needs points to get good GP assignments next year, so it may be USFS helping her out, more so than helping Alissa rest- but it certainly does double duty.
