The ladies, for the most part, were a mess. Ashley did fairly well, but still needs to fix the double footing problem. Alissa was slow and boring and splatted per usual. Her programs all look the same- loved her short program dress though. Agnes has a lot of potential. Her jumps are incredible, especially in person. A little consistency and confidence and she can be great. Poor Mirai-me thinks she needs a coaching change and for Rachael- me thinks she needs to retire and focus on school.

This. every season Mirai is hitting a new low, maybe lack of confidence and motivation, I also think this is the end of the road for Rachael, Im sure she is a good student at Stanford and will be a wonderful full time student

Given the amount of time you spend on the e-net trying to change the world you have calluses? or do you mean the one on your fingers?

After watching the second time around on Universal Sports I agree-the ladies, for the most part, were a mess. I was so caught up in the moment I hadn't even realized Ashley had double footed some jumps, or that Caroline was still sloooow. As was Rachael, but except for the popped flip she was pretty darn solid and had JOY written all over her face at the end. Agnes almost lived up to the build up-until her splats on her best jumps. My favorite headcase Mirai was a headcase so while I was disappointed I was not too surprized, Alissa was sloooow, careful, and also made mistakes. I agree with a poster in another thread who said pretty much any combination of these skaters is no guarantee we'll get 3 spots back at Worlds.

I have a slightly leaning toe that grinds into another toe.

(You get +3 GOE for snarkiness. )

Nice that you have come to visit ESTA. We need more analysis of US ladies. Particularly Rachel Flute.
What the hell is a Ninja Twizzle? Does it have anything to do with hard shelled aquatic life forms that live in the sewer?

I agree that her jumps were solid and towards the end she was fiery and triumphant. She skated with heart. However, her stroking looked labored.

    "Czisny" sounds Hungarian, not Russian.

I can't believe I'm posting in an esta thread.

    From the USFSA website

    Kids' Questions with Alissa Czisny

Is your last name Russian or Ukrainian?

    ....

My last name is shortened from a Prussian name. Prussia no longer exists as a country, but it was in the area of present-day Germany, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Russia. I am also of Swedish, Norwegian, English, French, Russian, and Icelandic descent. That makes me one of the many Americans that fit into the description of the melting pot of America.

Jeez, the only country she's not from is Australia. No criminals in her background obviously. Send her to the colonies, we need some good skaters.
